NOTE: I get messages asking me why I post these types of recipes while I’m following a zero carb animal kingdom only food plan.  My answer is because I’m following ZC, but I bet you’re not! Just because I eat a certain way does not mean I have to limit myself to sharing only meat recipes. I’m not the carb police! lol

Easy Gluten-Free Sloppy Joe Pot Pie Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 can (15.5 oz) original sloppy joe sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup Bisquick Gluten Free mix

Darlene’s Tip: You can use any gluten free baking mix, does not have to be Bisquick. Always read the labels to make sure each ingredient is gluten free.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1:  Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease bottom only of 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with shortening or cooking spray.

Step 2:  In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned; drain.

Step 3:  Stir in sloppy joe sauce and cheese. Spoon into baking dish.

Step 4:  In medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients until blended. Pour over beef mixture.

Step 5:  Bake about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
