I have a Walmart Savings Catcher Update for you!!!

I just got off the phone with Savings Catcher!  The woman was super nice and very helpful.

Here’s the deal…

You might remember that last week, I bought 10 Cains mayo, 10 Hunt’s tomatoes and 2 Cabot cheese that I was price matching to Market Basket (I’m in Sanford, ME).

I got the refund for my 10 Cains.

I did NOT get the refund for my 10 Hunt’s.

I only got the refund for ONE cheese.

I used the “Contact Us” link on my Savings Catcher dashboard and I went through the process of reporting a boo boo.  They have a nice, simple process where you click on which receipt you found an error on, which item should have been price matched and to which store, and the price of the sale at the other store.

I submitted 2 separate reports, one for the Hunt’s and one for the Cabot cheese.

Today I heard back about the cheese.  This is what it said.

Thank you for contacting us regarding our Savings Catcher program.  Wal-Mart strives to provide excellent customer service along with quality merchandise for purchase.

The item you referenced in your email was indeed listed at a lower at Market Baskit and you were credited the difference in reward dollars.

The only problem is that I do not see the additional credit in my account (and they also called it Market Baskit lol).  So I called them.  I was on hold about 5 minutes.  I got a very nice woman and she told me that it can take a bit for the credit to show up and to give it a few days.  She assured that the credit will still be doubled by Bluebird when I get it and move it over.

Then I asked why I didn’t hear back about the tomatoes and she said they are getting over 4,000 emails per day and they are working hard at answering them all. She said as long as we submit the report within 7 days from making our purchase, the email will get a reply.

She seemed to think I should not be worried about getting my refund.  She said the program is new and they are working hard to make it better.  She said to tell my readers (yes, I told her all about you!!!) that they absolutely want you to report any errors using their Contact Us form because it helps them to adjust the computer system to better read the flyers.

So, I’m still waiting for my refunds, but I was very pleased with that phone call.  I will update when I know more!

Oh, I am giving you the Savings Catcher phone number above, but she asked that you please submit any reports online first and wait a few days for a reply.  They can’t process the refund until you submit that report first.

I really wanted to ask a hundred more questions, but I kept her on the phone long enough.  Didn’t want to push my luck. lol  I’m sure I’ll have reason to call them again. Slowly, we will all learn this!
