INGREDIENTS:

1 box Betty Crocker SuperMoist white cake mix (or store brand)
1 can (12 oz) carbonated beverage of choice
optional: frosting

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
2:  In large bowl, beat dry cake mix and carbonated beverage with electric mixer on low speed 1 minute, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping side of bowl. Divide batter among cups.
3:  Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to cooling rack to cool completely, about 1 hour. Frost if desired.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can add food coloring to match any holiday. If you want a certain flavor of soda but you don’t want the soda to alter the color, buy clear flavored soda! And you can totally use any flavor cake mix. Chocolate cake mix with cherry or strawberry soda sounds delish!
