Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!
INGREDIENTS:
1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker Supreme original brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
1 1/4 cups Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting (from 16 oz container)
1/2 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
2 cups crisp rice cereal
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
1: Make and bake brownies as directed on box. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
2: Frost brownies with frosting and sprinkle with peanuts. Refrigerate while making cereal mixture.
3: Measure cereal into large mixing bowl and set aside.
4: In 1-quart saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread over frosted brownies.
5: Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set before cutting. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store tightly covered in refrigerator.

Darlene’s Tips: Want it extra nutty? You can add 1/4 chopped nuts to the brownie mix and also to the cereal mix (or use chunky peanut butter). You can use any nuts of your choice. Want it insanely chocolately? Use chocolate frosting instead of vanilla and toss in some chocolate morsels.
