I purchased 2 of these tonight and used both my .75 cent coupons and the cashier punched in to the machine to not double them and said it was because they were on sale or something. so not only did i not get for free, i had to pay .25 cents. does she have the right to do this? she was very rude about it
She was supposed to scan them and let them double. I’m sorry to hear of your lousy experience! I would talk to your store manager or your customer service rep. Or you can post on Shaw’s facebook page. Dan is the one who answers questions and he has stated they are not to undouble the coupons if they don’t say do not double. But why on earth would they make you pay anything? At the very least you should have gotten it for free! I’m shaking my head on this one! I highly suggest posting what you said on Shaw’s facebook page and then get your money back!
thanks Darlene. maybe i did get them for free but she confused me. i’m a newbie so i’m not sure if i can figure this out on my receipt. there are two .25 cent coupons on my receipt and i did not use any .25 cent coupons. what gives??
I think this is what happened. I bet she thought they were on sale for $1.00 and she manually entered the coupon to double only up to $1.00, so she entered $.75 and $.25. But, they are on sale for $1.25 so you ended up paying $.25 each for them. I would still talk to someone at your store and/or post on shaw’s facebook page.
i think that is exactly what happened. i remembered she said they were on sale for $1.00 and they can’t be doubled. i have posted on facebook and my friend is going in today to talk to the store manager because the cashier did the same thing to her as well. thanks again Darlene your the best 🙂
