This post is especially for my Sanford shoppers, or any shoppers who have a Walmart that will price match Market Basket!
We Sanford shoppers recently got the thumbs up to price match Market Basket at Walmart! And since Market Basket has super low prices, and since it’s about 30 minutes away, Sanford shoppers can save mega bucks by price matching and paying Market Basket prices without leaving town! We’ll not only save on groceries, but also on gas!
What You Need To Know: Tell the cashier you are doing a price match before they ring in your item. You might want to put a stickie on the item with the price so you don’t forget! You do not need to have the store flyer with you (Walmart’s policy says ad is not required) but always bring it if you can (they might have it at the register). You can use coupons with a price match! Always have a copy of Walmart’s price match policy and coupon policy with you!

Realize with the gas savings this is a big deal for you, but as it’s same distance either way for me I prefer to give business to Market Basket as reward to them for having that lower price in first place and not having to have extra debate with cashier. That said if one comes up as a money maker then it would be worth doing.
For sure if I had a market basket in town, I’d be shopping there! I never understood price matching a local store when you can just go to that store for the lower price, unless they are out of stock, then it’s a great idea. But if I can pm mb at w and not have to leave town to get the low prices… whoppie!
