My Thursday night shopping trip – all this for less than $25

I celebrated the end of the wonderful General Mills sale at Shaw’s by stocking up on cereal, a few other things… and yes, more Hamburger Helper! I actually shopped 5 of the 7 days that the sale was going on.  I’m almost glad it’s over!

Here’s what I got tonight:

4 boxes Corn Chex

4 boxes Cinnamon Chex

4 boxes Trix

8 boxes Cheerios

1 box Cinnamon Toast Crunch

10 boxes Hamburger Helper

4 boxes Nature Valley granola bars

6 pouches Tortilla Stuffers

4 cans refried beans

5 boxes Super Moist cake mix

5 tubs of Pillsbury frosting

1 package Pillsbury ready to bake cookies

5 Dannon yogurts

4 boxes Toaster Strudel

Total before scanning my Shaw’s card was $197.50

I paid just $24.17

I got $90.33 in preferred savings (scanning my Shaw’s card).

I used $61.50 in coupons.

I used $21.50 in catalinas (those lovely cats I got from all the Hamburger Helper and Alpo I bought!).

Saturday and Sunday I got $391.93 worth of food for $49.36!

Monday I got $24.90 worth of food for $1.90!

Tuesday I got $32.08 worth of food for 12 cents (that’s a dime and two pennies, folks)!

My grand total for the week of the General Mills sale was $646.41 but I spent only $75.55!

And that includes 120 boxes of Hamburger Helper… yikes!

I also earned 540 Bonus Box Tops for my school!!!
