Can you forgive your coupon blogger?

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

If you want to be an extreme couponer, you will quickly learn that you need to rely on coupon bloggers to help you save time… to help you save LOTS of time!

Bloggers can:

  • Tell you which coupons to print
  • Tell you where to use a coupon
  • Tell you when to use a coupon
  • Tell you what kind of deal you’ll get

Bloggers can also:

  • Make mistakes

When I first started couponing, I got SO FRUSTRATED when I clicked a link and could not find or print the coupon. I got even more frustrated when I printed coupons then ran to the store to get that FREE deal only to find that deal didn’t exist in my neck of the woods. These teasers felt like false promises and I almost quit couponing because of it.

But, I didn’t quit.

Instead, I kept plugging along and I discovered that all the awesome deals I was getting far outweighed those few bogus deals that I wasted time on.

Now that I’m a coupon blogger, I totally understand what all the bloggers go through. It’s impossible for a blogger to know it all, tell it all, teach it all. The best any coupon blogger can do it encourage newbies to stick with it and learn the ropes. Sticking with it is the key. Don’t give up!

When a blogger points out a deal that ends up wasting your time, chalk it up to human error and forgive them. No one is purposely sending you out on a wild goose chase.

Something to remember:  Bloggers DO NOT print every coupon they tell you about so they can’t always read the fine print. I still rely on other bloggers to find great deals and recently I jumped for joy when I read that I could get a free bag of candy.  After printing, I discovered the coupon could only be used on the large bag, not the small bag the blogger pointed out. So, no free candy for me for my mother.  I forgave my blogger.  And when I make mistakes (and I make plenty) I hope you can forgive me too.
