Green Smoothies: Delicious and Good For You!

If you are interested in the Make It Count Mondays – Weekly Challenge, then you might also be interested in learning more about Green smoothies. They are delicious, inexpensive, and promote natural weight loss. I just started drinking them, myself, and at first it took me a bit to get used to it, but now I honestly enjoy drinking them. It’s a great way to start my day on the right foot and they are so quick and easy to make (you just throw everything into the blender). Kids love them, too, as a special treat! They’ll never know (or believe) it’s good for them! 😉


Loose Spinach (1 handful)
Banana (I use 1/2 and give the other 1/2 to my daughter, but you could put 1 whole banana in there, too)
Mango (2 slices works for me)
Almond Milk (8 ounces – 1 cup, be sure to print this coupon so that you can use it to receive $0.75 off two Silk half gallons or larger – Silk PureAlmond is delicious)






  1. Throw everything into the blender.
  2. Turn your blender to the “Smoothie” setting and press start.
  3. Blend for about a minute or until the entire drink looks green (think Slimer green from Ghostbusters)
  4. Drink up and enjoy!
