I am stingy with my Ziploc bags! If I can store something in the refrigerator in a cottage cheese tub, that’s the route I take. However, I love Ziploc bags for freezing stuff, even soup! You can lay the bags flat and they don’t take up much room. Just don’t lay a bag of something liquid directly on a wire shelf in the freezer. It will wrap around the grid and freeze that way then it’s next to impossible to get the sucker outta there! Been there, done that. Now I line the shelf with cardboard from a cereal box or I lay the bag on top of a frozen dinner or something.
P.S. My husband once used a huge 1 gallon size Ziploc freezer bag to store 1/2 an onion in the fridge. Why would anyone do that? I mean come on… the small, cheapie baggies are in the same drawer! LOL
