Here’s how I stretch my laundry detergent to get double for my money!
1. Pour about 1/2 of your detergent into an empty jug of equal size.
2. Add 1/2 cup (smaller jugs) to 1 cup (bigger jugs) of Borax or Arm & Hammer Washing Soda (find both in the laundry aisle). I prefer the washing soda as it pours much easier and does not tend to clump. Both are cheap and go a long way.
3. Add a generous squirt of any dish soap to give it suds and a bit more cleaning power.
4. Fill with water. Add the water slowly so it does not all foam up.
5. Screw on the cap and turn over a few times to mix it up. It’s a good idea to turn it over a few times before each load as the Borax or washing soda can settle a bit.
This laundry soap recipe has been approved by my mother! And it’s way easier than making it from scratch like the Duggar Family… lol
