Here’s a secret… I have never purchased anything on Amazon. That’s probably why I rarely post Amazon deals. But, I want to start doing more of the Amazon deals, especially with the holidays on the way. I know lots of bloggers post those deals because, well… because Amazon has lots of great deals!
Many of you have asked me what kind of printer I use and I swear by laser printers. I’ve been using laser printers for years now, and every one of them has been an HP. The only reason I own an ink jet is because I needed a cheapie wireless printer so I can print a few coupons from my iPad. So, I went with an ink jet for that.
I did a search on Amazon and I found the EXACT laser printer that I use! I see it’s pricey (currently $478.87), but they also have some used ones ($89.00) and refurbished ones ($118.71). Prices can change at any time on Amazon, so the prices you see might be different.
HP LaserJet 1020 Printer
The very best, best, BEST thing about this printer is that you can now get the toner cartridges very cheap. I used to pay $80 each once upon a time. But now I get them from DuraEco on eBay and I just paid less than $16 for TWO cartridges with free shipping (their prices vary a bit, I see a 2-pk is currently $21.72). I do a lot of printing (a lot!!!) and each cartridge can last me 2 to 3 months, so I’m paying about $3 to $4 a month to print. What you save on buying ink quickly pays for your laser printer!
I see there is a newer HP model available too.
I see that DuraEco also sells ink cartridges so I bet you can get a good price there! I don’t know what a good price is on ink yet, but if you find a deal on your ink, please let me know!
