My mother uses an exercise step to get in and out of the car. The one we had magically disappeared from our driveway. We live on a dead end and I thought it was safe, but oh well… NOT!
My mother is pretty much housebound without that step because there is no way she can get in my Jeep without it (she’s almost 90). So, I’m on the hunt for another one. I figure some people probably have a step in the back of a closet just looking for a new home. It needs to have a fairly large base so she can safely turn her body on it. And if the height can be adjusted, that would be great.
I’m in Sanford and would be willing to travel to Portland, Wells, Rochester… maybe about 40 miles or so. If further, maybe we can meet. I’ll be happy to trade for food and supplies from my stockpile!
