How to solve the “I am out of ink” problem

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I hear it over and over and over again… I am out of ink!  And I’m thinking… we are couponers who know how to stockpile.  So, why is anyone running out of ink?

I use toner for my laser printer.  The minute I open my next-to-last cartridge, I order another twin pack.  I never run out.  It’s amazing how well that works! 🙂

I know lots of you ask me where to get ink and toner.  I use DuraECO for both.  I have always gotten excellent service and terrific product. As far as toner, they are about as cheap as you can get. I’ve only had to order ink once so far and can’t remember the price, but I think it was decent. You might want to search for your ink to see what the price is. They often have free shipping too!

We love our Canon Printer. The best brand we have used and I print alot now. Remember too, to use only your black ink.
    Canon MP470 is the model.

I got my All in One HP printer at Staples on clearance for $20 3 years ago, and couldn’t be happier! Ink is only $10 and lasts me about 1 month.. plus CVS just started carrying the ink my printer uses, so when I have ECB’s to burn, I can actually get it for free! No complaints here!

Whatever printer you do decide on, you should make sure it has all the cables with it, or at least know what you need. The last printer I got was about $20 at Walmart, but didn’t have the cable, which was another $25 at Staples.

I’ve been in the market for a good laser printer for a few months. I’ve actually stopped printing coupons.com printables because I’m out of ink and my work computer won’t let me download the software. (but that’s a different problem in itself). ugh!

any suggestions on good printers? As extreme couponers that could be a good follow-up to this article. Explaining the price per page ratio and giving tips etc.

btw. I got my coupons in the mail yesturday, I plan on stopping over at Shaws on my way home this evening.

Thank you for all that you do!

    toodles! 🙂

I have always used the cheapest HP laser printer I can find and they have always worked for me. I think the one I have right now is 10 years old. It’s an HP LaserJet 1020. Not sure they still make that one, but close to it. I only paid $50 for my wireless (also HP) so I can print from my ipad. Got the cheapest one I could find on walmart.com.
