I get so many emails and comments about awesome deals that my readers find. And 9 times out of 10, the details are so vague that it’s impossible for me to post the deal to let others know! I know, I know… it’s easy to forget the details when you’re excited. I feel the same way!
Here are some tips as to how you can help me when you find a deal you want to share:
• Which store and in which town is this deal? (very important… lol)
• Is the item Regular Price? Clearance? Rollback? Price Cut?
• Do you know when the sale ends? (check the sale tag or ask someone)
• Is there a lot of stock? (if you found the deal in store)
• If there is a coupon to go with the deal, where is that coupon? Printable? Insert?
• If there is a printable coupon to go with the deal, which coupon site or blog did you find it? (please always include links to the coupon if possible, or links to the blog you saw it on so I can thank them)
• If there is an insert coupon to go with the deal, which insert is it in? What’s the value and the exp date?
I have lots of people tell me they don’t know how to share a link. Just go to the URL bar at the top of your screen, right click it and copy. Then paste it in an email to me. My email is dzines@metrocast.net.
Wrong way to share a deal: I just scored free paper towels with that coupon that made the rounds awhile back!
Better way to share a deal: I just scored free paper towels at CVS in Anytown, on sale through Sunday for $.XX and there is a coupon in the X/X RP that makes them free!
Once you get the hang of getting all the details, your next step is your very own coupon blog! 🙂
