It’s time to use up some of those cake mixes we got on sale a while ago.
Cake Mix Cookies
1 pkg. cake mix, any flavor.
1/2 cup shortening, butter or margarine
1 T. water
2 eggs
Powdered sugar
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, shortening, water, and eggs; mix well. Form dough into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 for 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely. Decorate as desired.
You can press a small peppermint patty into the middle of each one as soon as you take them out of the oven if you want. Makes about 48 cookies.
