Shaw’s Flyer 12/6 – 12/12
Shaw’s will have frozen veggies B2G1 FREE starting Friday. If you have the B1G1 FREE Essential Everyday coupons, you will be able to score a fantastic deal! The frozen veggies start at $1.19 in Sanford, so I’m showing you what the deal looks like if you pick up only $1.19 varieties.
If you mix and match, the lower priced items will be free. Remember, to satisfy the bogo coupon, you need to buy in groups of 2 that match. And also remember that if you buy varieties that are over $2.00, you will only get them free up to $2.00, so you’ll pay a little extra on those.
Here’s the deal at Shaw’s 12/6 – 12/12
Buy (6) Frozen Veggies at $1.19 each B2G1 FREE
two will be free with the store sale
Use (3) B1G1 FREE Essential Everyday coupons from 11/17 RP HERE or HERE
three will be free with the coupons
Final price is $1.19 for 6 so only $.20 each!
NOTE: When you double up on a B2G1 sale, what you are doing is this… B1B1G1, B1B1G1 which is the same as B1G1, B1G1, B1B1. You can use a BOGO coupon on a B1G1 sale so you can use (3) BOGO coupons when you buy 6 (you are applying one to each group). If your store does not agree, then you can either give them an algebra lesson (lol) or just go with the flow and do as they say.

Darlene,
I would like your opinion.
I looked up Shaws facebook comments from april 23 where Dan (shaws) says the following:
“Kele buys a pair of items that are on sale at BOGO. The Free item in a BOGO sale can essentially be seen as her having a ‘store coupon’ for a Free item. Because she is making a purchase and has a ‘manufacturer’ BOGO coupon, and because we allow store and manufacturer coupons to be stacked together, the manufacturer coupon gets applied to the BOGO purchase. So in the end Kele should have received both items Free”
But the current shaw web site policy states:
“Coupon may not be applied on a free item.”
1 – Almost all free items are BOGO!!!!
2- If one follows Shaws logic posted on that day – then ALL free items are store coupons and therefore a manufacturers coupon should be allowed to all free items.
The “Coupon may not be applied on a free item.” policy really annoys me because I AM BUYING those items from the manufacturer and the coupon is going back to (and redeemed by) the manufacturer. I can see not doubling coupons on a free item – but it shouldn’t hurt shaws to accept a manufacturer’s coupon at face value.
I have emailed that exact same logic directly to Dan but he still said no coupon on the freebie, even though he states it’s like a store coupon. We absolutely should be allowed to use a coupon on the “free” item in a bogo sale because it’s NOT free! We have to make a purchase to get it. If something is $3.00 and it’s bogo, it’s the exact same as saying 2 for $3.00. Argh!!!
I was struggling with your explanation then figured it out. Here’s my explanation.
Assuming shaws accepts a b1g1 coupon on a b1g1 deal they therefore would accept a b1g1 coupon on a b2g1 deal:
for every 3 1 is free courtesy of sale – so buy 6 – b1b1g1 b1b1bg1 – this pays for 2
for every 2 1 is free courtesy of coupon – this makes 3 of the above free – this pays for 3
therefore only pay for 1
Good Grief the bogo sales confuse me. Went today to my local Shaws and bought 10 bogo EE salad dressings and was advised by the manager I could only use 2 coupons for the 10 I bought..I tried to explain to her the bogo and the EE bogo qs and she wasnt having it said the computer recognizes if theres a mistake and of course each EE beeped so she said it was wrong to use them all thats why it was beeping..I had 10 dressings tried to use 5 coupons…Needless to day I dont think Im doing this veggie one tomorrow. Went through heck today over the salad dressing. I could not explain the BOGO and the BOGO EE without confusing myself boooooo !!
You were totoally allowed to use 5 bogo coupons on 10 dressings. Many of the stores are having issues with the coupon not scanning right. It has nothing to do with how you tried to use it. So sad that the stores just don’t get it! We are always at their mercy. I would have had her do each one separately.
Yay – time to stock up on veggies. Thanks!
I don’t think those calculations are correct, but I’m not an expert. Buy 2 get 1 Free with the BOGO coupon would equal= Pay for 1 and get 2 free(if they were under $2.00). Isn’t that right?
That would be correct if you were buying only 3 bags, but my deal is for 6 bags. If you look at the NOTE above, when you buy 6 you can use 3 bogo coupons since you can apply one coupon per group of 2. This gives you 5 free bags (if all under $2.00) leaving you only 1 that you pay for. I know it’s confusing. I break it down in the post in the NOTE section.
I’m trying to digest this and wouldn’t it be B2/G1 the 2nd and 3rd would both be free if you’re using a bogo coupon?
This would be the same calculation as the prior seasoning b1/g1 then use the bogo coupon and get both free if they’re under $2 each.
Maureen, that’s how it would work if you were to buy only 3 bags, but my deal is for 6 bags. If you see the NOTE part above, it explains how it’s done. When you buy 6 you can use 3 coupons.
Can we use the 1/2 coupons as well? Just one though. correct?
If you buy 6 and use 3 bogo coupons, you can’t use any $1/2 coupons since the 3 bogo coupons blanket all 6 items.
