I was going to scan the Market Basket flyer for you, but I noticed that This Mama Knows has it up. She shares my Shaw’s flyer, so I’m going to share her Market Basket flyer!
Remember, some Maine Walmarts are now price matching Market Basket since we have a store in Biddeford. Call your local Walmart to see if they will price match Market Basket. Sanford does!
You can check for Coupons in the database and on Klip2Save
What You Need To Know about Price Matching at Walmart:
Tell the cashier you are doing a price match before they ring in your item. You might want to put a stickie on the item with the price so you don’t forget!
Item must currently be on sale at Market Basket and must be advertised in the flyer.
You must buy the same item as stated in the flyer (brand, size, count).
You can price match brand name meat at the price per pound (like Perdue) or brand name produce (like Driscoll’s).
You can price match generic fresh meat and produce! If Market Basket has fresh chicken breast on sale for $1.69 per pound, you can get that same price at Walmart. If you have trouble with this, tell them Chip (store manager in Sanford) said so. But you have to still match… like if it says Florida oranges, you have to pick up Florida oranges. If there is a brand mentioned, like fresh Dole pineapple, then you can’t pick up just any old pineapple, it must be Dole.
CAN’T PRICE MATCH —> You can’t price match store brand, meaning you can’t price match Market Basket canned veggies and pick up Walmart’s Great Value brand to price match.
You do not need to have the other store’s flyer with you (Walmart’s policy says ad is not required) but always bring it with you if you can.
You can use coupons with a price match! Have them price match first, then use the coupons.
Always have a copy of Walmart’s price match policy and coupon policy with you!
