What I Ate Yesterday – Day 26

Yesterday – Monday 12/12 – Day 26

NOTE:  I had a rough day yesterday. My depression seemed to be kicking in, and after feeling awesome for over 3 weeks with not even one dip in my mood, feeling bad was VERY discouraging.  I decreased my prozac (with doctor’s permission), so I’m thinking that might have something to do with it. I’m going to stay at this lower dose and see if it levels off.  But I will say, I struggled BIG TIME with food yesterday, and that was also the first time that happened since I started eating this way.  I do not do well with cravings, so I hope suffering with cravings is just an occasional fluke.  I stayed on plan (just kept telling myself to wait until tomorrow), but since I wanted to eat constantly, I ate way more meat than usual (and that did not satisfy my cravings).  However, I stuck to my animal kingdom plan so hopefully today will be better. Had I eaten carbs yesterday or last night, I’d be a total mess right now. I just know I would. Instead, I have better hopes for today.

I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc.

At 1:00pm, I heated up some of the meat mix that I cooked the day before.  That consisted of bacon ends, ground beef and slices of shoulder roast.  I added some water and butter so I could have lots of broth. And I opted for my pat of butter on top this time. I ate almost all that you see in the plate above.

At 5:00pm, I cooked some slices of beef in butter, cooked rare.  I ate a plateful of that then had a gulp of light cream.

At 6:00pm, I had a decafe with hwc.

At 8:00pm, I ate more of the same mix of meat as above, but this time cold, right from the container.  I ate quite a bit of it.  It was certainly enough to call it a meal.

At 9:00pm, I cooked 5 eggs with ground beef, all scrambled together. I added pepper.  I ate almost all of it.

At 11:15pm, I was still struggling with wanting something sweet, but I went to meat instead.  I warmed up and ate the rest of my egg and ground beef mixture along with the rest of the mixed meat I had leftover.  My belly was an endless pit yesterday. And I just kept filling it!

NOTE:  I don’t measure anything, but I am sure I ate at least 3 pounds of meat yesterday, maybe more.  I could have probably had a piece of cake or some cookies and gotten that craving over with. But I chose to really put the meat to the test. The vets in this group (it’s public, so you can read without joining) swear by just sticking to the meat, no matter how much meat it takes.  Eat meat. Drink water. Get rest. Those are pretty much the only rules!

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  beef (ground, shoulder roast), bacon, eggs, cream (heavy and light), butter, coffee (reg and decafe), pepper, water.

I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom only, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)
