What I Ate Yesterday – Day 47

What Derrick Said!!!  I know I’ve mentioned this before, but my son Derrick, along with many of you out there, think my food looks DISGUSTING!!!  Derrick just mentioned to me again last night that it looks like dog food, even worse.  Far worse.  He was quite clear that he hates seeing these pictures! lol  I’m pretty sure he’s embarrassed that I post this stuff to facebook.  But these posts about what I eat get the most views on my blog.  Sorry Derrick.  I must continue!!! lol

Here’s the deal.  Food does not have to be pretty.  It’s there to fuel my body.  If you watch my video from yesterday, you’ll see that I absolutely love my plate of meat.  It has helped me so much!!!  In my eyes, it’s a vision of beauty.  And I moan with delight with practically every bite.

As for Derrick, he does at least listen to what I have to say about the way I eat.  But he’s a polite and kind and loving son, so what choice does he have but to listen? lol  I’d give anything for him to try this way of life.  He suffers from depression and anxiety too.  Big time.  And he and I both know that meds are not always the answer.  In fact, for both of us, meds have proven to do more harm than good at times.

I’m going to try very hard to get Derrick to eat just meat for only ONE day while I’m there.  For many, one day is all it takes to get hooked.  I knew after only one meal that this was going to be my thing.  Poor Derrick.  Cave mom is coming with a cleaver!  Watch out!!!  P.S. Derrick, you know I love you to pieces!!! (It was his 39th birthday yesterday).  xoxo

UPDATE:  I just texted Derrick and asked if he’d commit to just ONE day if I make the food pretty and he texted right back saying, YES, he will!!!  Wicked excite!


Yesterday – Monday 1/2 – Day 47

I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc when I got up.  I do this pretty much every single day.

At 1:30pm, I made what you see in the pic above.  That consisted of ground beef, beef slices, beef liver, bacon ends and some deli ham.  All cooked in butter except the deli ham was cold (purchased during this ride along).  This was fantastic!!!  I ate about half of each variety of meat and saved the rest for later.

At 3:30pm, I had a decafe with hwc.

At 9:00pm, I heated up some leftover meat concoction for the previous day plus more deli ham (list of all that I ate is below).  I made up a fairly full plate and ate it all.

At 1:00am, I heated up the leftovers from my lunch and ate almost all of that. Then I had a swig of cream and hit the hay!

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  sliced beef, ground beef, bacon ends, hot sausage, beef liver, deli ham, butter, light cream, heavy whipping cream, coffee, salt, pepper, lots of water.

NOTE:  I don’t always add salt or pepper, but I do now and then.  Since I eat leftovers, it’s hard to remember which batch had added salt or pepper, so I just leave that on my list of foods that I ate just in case.  I do not use any other seasonings.
