Happy hump day everyone!
I can’t believe it was only a week ago that I got back from Memphis. It feels like that trip was months ago! Funny how that works.
Yesterday, I knocked out 2 videos for your viewing pleasure. First, I came up with a very helpful tip for youtube content creators. We can learn tons about our videos by studying the audience retention. If people are dropping off quick, we are doing something wrong! My old hair video is a prime example. I did that one long before I understood anything about how youtube worked and I obviously did not make an early impression in that video because most of my audience dropped off in the first 2 minutes. Those who made it past that point pretty much stayed until the end. But I lost so many in the beginning. This is why it’s so important to have an interesting opening. I show you exactly how to see your retention for each video and also how to understand the graph. If you create videos, you must check it out!
Then I finished up my Upcycled Fashions video. I actually recorded it on Monday, but that daunting task was not complete until Tuesday. I spend tons of hours on those videos and the end result looks like it took all of 30 minutes to create. lol That’s so not the case! You can hear my frustration in this video and I’m not totally okay with that. I’ve decided the series is going to be more about showing the real struggles I go through and not about “how to” recreate the actual transformations. If I’m free to swear while sewing, I’m going to love that series a whole lot more! lol
What’s on the agenda for today? I want to finish my ebay tote and get that listed. I need to pack and send out all the ebay beads. I have to hit Roger’s for meat. I want to cook and freeze rice for my mother. I have to do some behind the scene stuff for my son’s website. I want to find a fun Tag video. I need to make another quilt block for the block party. And more. Yes, more. lol
