Oooey Gooey Butter Cake Cream Cheese Squares Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1 box (15.25 oz) Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix French Vanilla (see tips below)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
3 eggs
8 ounces cream cheese
1 pound bag (about 3-3/4 cups) powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:
1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
2: In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg until a soft dough forms. Press into the bottom of the baking dish.
3: With mixer (or a strong arm) combine together the cream cheese, 2 eggs and sugar until smooth. Spread over the cake mix layer.
4: Bake for 45 minutes or until edges are golden brown and the center has set to a soft consistency.
5: Cool completely before slicing into squares and serving. You can put it in the refrigerator to cool quicker and to set firmer.
Darlene’s Tips: If you can’t find the french vanilla cake mix, use any flavor you like. This would be great with yellow cake mix, strawberry, pineapple, lemon, spice, confetti, or even chocolate!
