Easy Tropical Dump Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1 can (20 oz) pineapple rings in heavy syrup
1 box (15.25 oz) Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix, lemon flavor
1 cup shredded coconut, sweetened
1/2 cup butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:
1: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Drain the pineapple rings and reserve the liquid. Arrange the pineapple rings in a single layer in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour the liquid from the can over the rings.
2: Stir together the dry cake mix and shredded coconut. Sprinkle evenly over the pineapple rings.
3: Melt the butter and drizzle over the cake mix, being careful to cover as much of the cake mix with butter as possible.
4: Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can top with any flavor yogurt or whipped topping before serving. You can also mix whipped topping with yogurt for a mousse-like topping. You can also garnish with extra pineapple or banana slices. This would also be good with strawberry cake mix.
