Brownie Mix Hack – Easy Brownie Brittle Bark Recipe

1 package (10.25 oz) Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix (o any brand)
1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup water
sprinkles or candy decor of your choice

1: Heat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat together brownie mix, egg, butter and water. Spread onto a large parchment lined baking sheet, approximately 1/2-inch thick.
2: Bake for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with candy decor of your choice.
3: Return to the oven and bake 30-35 minutes more, or until the center is firm and no longer very soft to the touch.
4: Remove and cool completely.
5: Break into pieces before serving.

Darlene’s Tips:  You could sprinkle with candy morsels if you want. That would melt when returned to the oven and would harden when cooled. You could also add any kind of chopped nuts to the mix or also sprinkle the nuts on top. Experiment!  Want the brittle to cool faster? Put the pan in the refrigerator or freezer until it has set.
