1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
optional: 1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts of your choice
optional: 1/2 to 1 cup candy morsels to melt and drizzle on top of cookies

DIRECTIONS:
1: Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, use a fork to mix the cream cheese into the cookie mix until a soft dough forms. Optional: mix in nuts too if adding nuts.
2: Roll dough into two logs. Slice into 1/4 thick cookies. Gently form the cookies into rounded circles.
3: Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 6-9 minutes or just until the cookies are set in the center and the bottoms turn a very light golden brown. Remove cookies from sheet and cool completely.
4: Optional: Melt candy morsels in a zip-top bag, snip a small corner from the bag, and pipe the melted candy in a drizzle atop each cookie. Allow to cool and harden before serving.
Darlene’s Tips: I bet you can do this with any flavor cookie mix. You could also frost these cookies with any flavor frosting, but cream cheese frosting would be delish! Using nuts in the cookies? Add some finely chopped nuts to the frosting too!
