Refill Blades – I purchased one of these refill packs over a year ago and I still have 2 or 3 left, and I cut a TON of fabric! They fit the rotary cutter above. They are oiled so they stay nice and “fresh” in their little case. Leave them like that. Just wipe them off one at a time as you use them. These are such a great price at only $1.50 per blade (at the time of this post) and free shipping even if you don’t spend $35 on this one. Mine said it would take about 2 weeks to arrive but I got them in less than a week.
Cutting Mat – This is not the current mat that I’m using, but it’s my favorite so far. I love that it’s double sided and that the inch measurements are on all sides plus it has the quarter inch dotted lines on the grid. Even though it’s self-healing, I end up cutting through every mat. So after that one, I tried this one which was cheaper. It’s one sided, so I use the back side for crafting. And the inch measurements are not on all sides and there are no dotted quarter inch lines. But for the price, it does the job. I have not completely cut through it yet, but I’ve only had it for 3 months. Some of the lines I used all the time are getting grooves. If you are okay with the higher price, I’d buy the two sided mat. I loved that one!
