2/3 cup drained and rinsed 2/3 cup water optional: frosting and sprinkles of your choice DIRECTIONS: 1: Heat oven to 350°F. Spray with cooking spray. 2: Place beans and water in a . Cover and blend on high speed 30 to 60 seconds or until smooth. 3: In large bowl, mix bean mixture and brownie mix until well mixed. Spread batter evenly in pan. 4: Bake 20 to 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out with moist crumbs attached. Cool and cut into bars or squares. Darlene’s Tips: I’ve never tried this recipe, but the pureed black beans are supposed to give these brownies loads of moisture without a bean flavor. If you don’t have a blender or , you could just mash by hand. Add chopped nuts to this recipe if you want, either inside the mix or sprinkled on top or both. 1/4 cup 1/4 cup 3 cups DIRECTIONS: 1: Add butter and flour to a over medium heat. Let the butter melt and the flour into the butter. Let it cook for 3 minutes whisking constantly. 2: Slowly start drizzling the milk into the flour mixture, whisking constantly. Let the mixture heat as you whisk, thickening over a few minutes. 3: Once the sauce is the consistency of a light gravy, add the cheese and whisk it into the sauce so it melts evenly. Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on and at ! Darlene’s Tips: Use this cheese sauce with pasta, or put it in a dish and serve with chips as a queso dip. You can add other ingredients as desired, like finely chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, jalapeno peppers… whatever you like. This will thicken when stored in the fridge. You can add a bit more milk to it when reheating if you like. You can use any shredded meltable cheese like american, monterey jack, … experiment! 1/2 stick butter, softened (see my tips below) 3 cups powdered sugar DIRECTIONS: 1: Cream together softened butter and yogurt in a mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixture at medium speed, until fully combined and smooth. 2: Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and keep mixing until smooth. Continue adding remaining powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time. Frosting will have the consistency of a thick glaze. Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on and at ! Darlene’s Tips: To quickly soften butter, cut it into small pieces and place the pieces on a plate spaced out. You can also use a potato peeler and shave the butter. The shavings will be soft in no time! If you want a thicker frosting, add more powdered sugar until it’s the consistency you want.
