$1/1 Essential Everyday Shaw’s coupon: a few things you can get for FREE or CHEAP!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

When I took my very quick walk around Shaw’s tonight, I jotted down some prices of a few Essential Everyday items that you can pick up with your $1/1 Essential Everyday coupon in the new Shaw’s coupon book.

I was hoping to get canned veggies, but they are priced at $.99 and the coupon says minimum $1.00.  Just the same, I asked the cashier if she tought it would go through and she said “let’s try it!” and it scanned and it deducted $.99 and not the entire dollar.  So, she said I was good to go!  I got a FREE can of beets!

Below are some prices, and I will have more as time goes on since the coupon is good through 6/20 :O)Canned veggies, $.99 – Game Ticket Bonus Item!

Just a question. The Q says that the items value needs to be $1 or greater. Does it reject the .99 can? I saw that you posted that it deducts down to .99, but is that due to the cashier or will it adjust automatically? Thanks. I seem to remember an item like plastic forks/spoons I got with this coupon last year for pennies. I’ll need to check if there is an Essential item in that aisle.

It scans on its own and adjusts down.  If you look at the post again you’ll see that I mentioned that :O)  I have no clue if it will adjust down to something cheaper. I saw some stuff that I’d like that was 89 cents.  I might try it!  If it scans and adjusts on its own then I’m good with that :O)
