READING MATERIAL: Lex Rooker: The Unique Healing Power of an All-Raw Zero Carb Diet NOTE: some choose to eat raw meat and eggs but that is NOT mandatory or even promoted as “being better for you” in the facebook group I’m in. Eating raw is a personal choice and works better for some to improve their health. P.S. I love raw beef and have always eaten some raw when slicing it. I still do that to this day.
REMINDER: I’m not doing this to lose weight! In fact, I’ll be shocked if I ever lose weight eating this way! lol. I know many of the ZC vets who have lost weight eating meat only say they gained at first and that weight loss was slow going. But many of them have also kept all their weight off and have been happily eating this way for years! I’m in this for the health benefits, mainly for my mental health. However, I promised I would weigh myself on New Year’s Day for the curious minds, and I am still planning on doing that, so stay tuned!
Yesterday – Wednesday 12/21 – Day 35
I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc when I got up.
At 3:00pm, I cooked some nice slices of beef that I just bought at Hannaford during this Ride Along with Me video (you get to see where I live!). I also added some pieces of rotisserie chicken that I bought during the same shopping trip. To that, I added some cooked leftovers that even included bits of egg. I ate almost all that you see in the pic above. I had maybe 4 or 5 beef slices remaining which I’ll finish up today.
At 9:30pm, I got hungry for my deli meat!!! I don’t usually have just deli meat as a meal, but I did not feel like cooking so I ate maybe close to a pound of deli meat, a mix of roast beef and turkey breast which I also picked up in this shopping trip.
At 1:00am, I was not really hungry, but more wanting to eat something by habit. At this point, I don’t care why I feel like eating. If I want to eat, I just eat. I grabbed more deli meat and ate some. Not too much. It did the trick. Oh, and a swig of light and heavy cream mix.
NOTE: I discovered that even though eggs are on the optimal list of what I can eat, they are harder for me to digest and they do not really satisfy my hunger. I’m still willing to have a few on the side now and then, or maybe even scrambling one in each meat concoction I make, but will not be eating eggs as a the main course for now. Meat really is supposed to always be the main focus of any meal. And I find beef is by far my favorite, most filling, most satisfying.
Food that entered my mouth yesterday: beef slices, chicken, ground beef, bacon, pork tenderloin, little bit of egg, butter, light cream, heavy whipping cream, coffee, salt, pepper, lots of water.
You can watch THIS VIDEO to learn why I’m doing this.
This is the facebook group I’m in. It’s a public group so you can read the posts without joining.
I will be talking about this new way of life often on my Youtube channel, so please subscribe and you won’t miss a thing!
This is the article that I stumbled upon by Kelly Hogan which got me immensely excited. And this is Kelly’s blog.
PLEASE READ: Please remember that it’s MY CHOICE to eat the way I want. If you think this is unhealthy, know I’m not as concerned with physical health. I’m more concerned with my mental health. I’m on a mission to feel better mentally… without cravings!!! I’m willing to test this so you don’t have to! But what works for me might not work for you. I’m not doing this to lose weight. I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom only, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)
