Turtle Cookies – Easy 2-Ingredient Cookie Dough Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
1 package (16 oz) refrigerated sugar cookies

DIRECTIONS:

1: Heat oven to 350°F. Line 2 cookie sheets with .

2: Place cookie dough rounds 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.

3: Bake 12 to 16 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.

4: Gently push 1 turtle candy on top of each warm cookie and sprinkle with a little salt if desired. Cool 3 minutes then remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Darlene’s Tips: You can experiment with other types of candy like peppermint patties, mini snickers, , whatever! And you can use chocolate chip cookie dough if you prefer. And feel free to use any style cookie dough. It does not have to be the Ready to Bake variete. Just buy any cookie dough roll and slice the cookies yourself. Easy peasy!

5-Ingredient Lemon Crumble Bars Recipe – Easy Sugar Cookie Dough Hack

INGREDIENTS:
1 roll (about 16 oz)
1/3 cup
2 egg yolks ()
1 can (14 oz) (not evaporated)
1/4 cup

DIRECTIONS:

1: Heat oven to 350°F. Line 8-inch square pan with cooking parchment paper.

2: Cut the roll of dough into 3 equal pieces. Take two of the pieces (2/3 of the roll) and press in bottom of pan. You can slice the dough or crumble it if needed to make the bottom layer more even.

3: To make filling, mix lemon juice, egg yolks and condensed milk in a medium bowl and stir to combine with fork or whisk. Pour over cookie dough crust.

4: To make topping, crumble the remaining 1/3 of the dough and place in medium bowl. Add the oats to the dough and knead the mixture with fingers for a few minutes until well combined. Crumble evenly over lemon filling.

5: Bake 35 minutes or until edges are golden brown and filling is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Cut into bars or squares. Store covered in refrigerator.

Darlene’s Tips: You can use or orange juice if you like. You can add some or candy morsels to the crumble. I think might be awesome!

Boston Cream Pie Poke Cake – Easy Sheet Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

1: Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 15 x 10 x 1-inch with .

2: Make cake batter as directed on box. Pour into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes.

3: Poke holes with the handle of a (or whatever you have) almost to bottom of cake every 1/2 inch, wiping spoon handle occasionally to reduce sticking.

4: In , beat pudding mix and milk with 45 to 60 seconds or until slightly thickened but still pourable. Carefully pour over cake, spreading evenly over surface. Work back and forth to fill holes, tapping pan lightly on counter several times. Refrigerate 2 hours.

5: In small microwavable bowl, frosting uncovered on High 15 to 30 seconds or until slightly warmed and thinner consistency. Quickly spread evenly on top of cake up to edges and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Cut as desired and serve. Store leftovers covered in .

Darlene’s Tips: If you don’t have a sheet cake pan, just bake your cake in whatever cake pan you normally use and bake as directed on the box. Then poke that cake. You can even make and poke those.
