INGREDIENTS:

1 pkg (22 oz) frozen cooked meatballs of your choice, thawed
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (8 biscuits)
1 (14-oz.) jar tomato pasta sauce
6 oz. (1 1/2 cups) shredded mozzarella cheese
(see my tips below)

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13×9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

2:  Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces; place in large bowl with thawed meatballs. Add pasta sauce and toss to coat. Spoon and spread mixture in sprayed baking dish.

3:  Bake at 375°F for 30 to 40 minutes or until edges are deep golden brown and biscuit pieces are no longer doughy. Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 2 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Darlene’s Tips:  If your meatballs are frozen and you’re in a hurry, place them in a glass bowl and pop them in the microwave on medium for about 3 to 5 minutes to thaw them quickly. Serve this with a side of cooked pasta or mac & cheese or a loaded baked potato! Side salad would be good too!

Apple Pie Crumble Recipe – 3 Ingredient Cookie Mix Hack

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

Apple Pie Crumble Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into pieces (not margarine)
1 can (21 oz) more fruit apple pie filling (about 2 1/3 cups)
(see my tips below)

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 375°F. Spray bottom and sides of 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.

2:  Place cookie mix in large bowl. Cut in butter, using pastry blender or fork, until mixture is crumbly (do not overmix).

3:  Set askide 1 1/2 cups cookie mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture in bottom of pan. Bake 10 minutes and remove from oven.

4:  Spread apple pie filling on top of partially baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved 1 1/2 cups cookie mixture.

5:  Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely, about 4 hours. Cut as desired and serve. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can add about 1/4 cup of finely chopped nuts of your choice to the cookie mix. Drizzle with caramel syrup before serving! Goes great with ice cream on the side. You can also serve warm from the oven (will not be as firm) or you can warm for 10 second intervals in the microwave before serving. Try this with other flavor pie fillings too, like cherry, blueberry, lemon, whatever!

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

Easy Blueberry Muffin Tops Recipe

Check Out My New eBay Store!

INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
1 package Betty Crocker wild blueberry muffin mix
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
(see my tips below)

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!

DIRECTIONS:

1: Preheat oven to 425ºF (or 400ºF for dark or nonstick pan). Drain Blueberries from muffin mix; rinse and set aside. Stir muffin mix, water, oil and egg in medium bowl just until blended (batter may be lumpy). Gently stir in blueberries.

2: Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

3: Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges and tops begin to brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can use any flavor of muffin mix. Make some muffin top sandwiches by spreading frosting, whipped topping, peanut butter, cream cheese or whatever you want between two muffin tops. Freeze to eat later! You could even use the muffin tops to make ice cream sandwiches! You can also use a muffin top as the base for strawberry shortcakes!
