3 Ingredient Slow-Cooker Root Beer Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb fresh chicken wings
1 cup root beer
1½ cups barbecue sauce of your choice
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:
1: Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place chicken in slow cooker.
2: In medium bowl, stir root beer and barbecue sauce until well blended. Reserve 1 cup sauce. Pour remaining sauce over chicken. Stir to coat.
3: Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 to 4 hours. Serve with remaining sauce for dipping.

Darlene’s Tips: You can place the wings under the broiler for a few minutes if you want to dry them up a bit and let the sauce crisp up a little. You could try this in the slow cooker with chicken drumsticks instead of wing pieces.

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

Cheesy Cheerios Snack Mix Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

6 cups MultiGrain Cheerios cereal
2 cups Honey Nut Chex cereal
2 cups bite-size cheese crackers
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups cheese puffcorn
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1: In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and crackers.
2: Pour butter over cereal mixture; stir to distribute thoroughly. Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring every minute.
3: Stir in puffcorn and Parmesan cheese. Store in airtight container.

Darlene’s Tips: If you can’t find the exact ingredients, substitue with what you can find. Anything crunch like cereal, crackers, pretzels, nuts, etc. can be added to the mix that goes into the microwave. Airy stuff like popcorn (try cheese flavored), cheese puffs, etc., can be added after the microwave step.
