When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

Cake Mix Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist yellow cake mix
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup shortening or vegetable oil
2 eggs
granulated sugar (to roll dough in)

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick pans). In large bowl, beat cake mix, brown sugar, water, peanut butter, shortening and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
2: Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar and, on ungreased cookie sheet, place 2 inches apart. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in sugar.
3: Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Store covered.

Darlene’s Tips: Spread chocolate frosting between two cookies for chocolate peanut butter cookie sandwiches! You could also add peanut butter or chocolate morsels (or both) to the mix.

It’s Friday!
And I don’t know what I’m running on, but I know it’s not energy due to a good night’s sleep. I feel like I have not slept for a week. I blame that on the fact that I had an appointment yesterday. I stress over the fact that I have a change in my schedule like that. I stress for days, even weeks, before it happens. Now the appointment is over, but last night I could not sleep due to all the shit I think about after the appointment. I don’t think about the appointment outcome. That’s not what consumes my thoughts. I think about how I sounded, was I stupid, did I talk too much (I totally talked too much), did I spit, how was I sitting. OMG, I can’t live with myself.
I will be updating about the actual appointment in patreon soon. And I’m sure I’ll go off on a rant about how stressed out I am, and will always be, over appointments. I can’t believe I have fucking surgeries to face. I’ll have to get up EARLY for that! I’ll have a fucking catheter! I’ll need to bring meat with me! Stressed. So stressed.
Even though I’m sleep deprived, I’ve still been able to accomplish quite a bit. It’s the slowest way I know to get rid of the gazillion totes of fabric that I own, but at least I’m willing to finally be able to part with some of this stuff. Although, it’s still a big struggle. I get very close to listing some stuff but then I often back out simply because I don’t think I can part with those particular scraps. I feel sick. I want to cry. What a hot mess I am. The stuff up for sale so far might fill a shoe box. Only 4,999 shoe boxes to go.
I hit Marden’s yesterday after my doctor appointment. I picked up fabric for my next frenzy (August 30 – Sept 2) and I recorded a Fabric Frenzy Update for those who are interested. If you are not a patron and don’t want to be, you really need to at least be part of my Peanut Gallery group so you can get in on the ebay portion of the sale. I post all notices in that group.
I really need to get busy. I also have a phone call I must make today to my urologist. I hate that so much. I’d love to put that off until Monday, but then I’d think about that all weekend. I don’t know what is worse, doing it or dwelling on it. Both suck. I need a personal assistant!!!

Cake Mix Waffles Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix – any flavor!!
1 1/3 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat waffle maker. (Waffle makers without nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray.)
2: Make cake batter as directed on box, using water, oil and eggs.
3: For each waffle, pour batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer’s directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.
4: Serve waffles warm or cold with toppings of your choice.

Darlene’s Tips: The next time my mother’s aide makes pancakes to freeze for my mother, I’m going to have her use this cake mix batter! You can use this for pancakes, not just waffles! So excited and I can’t wait! I think my mother’s favorite will be spice cake!
