Black Bean Brownies Recipe – Easy Brownie Mix Hack

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:

1 box (18.3 oz) Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix
2/3 cup drained and rinsed black beans
2/3 cup water
optional: frosting and sprinkles of your choice

What do I have on ebay?

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.

2:  Place beans and water in a blender. Cover and blend on high speed 30 to 60 seconds or until smooth.

3:  In large bowl, mix bean mixture and brownie mix until well mixed. Spread batter evenly in pan.

4:  Bake 20 to 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out with moist crumbs attached. Cool and cut into bars or squares. Frost and decorate as desired.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on eBay and at Walmart!

Darlene’s Tips:  I’ve never tried this recipe, but the pureed black beans are supposed to give these brownies loads of moisture without a bean flavor. If you don’t have a blender or food processor, you could just mash by hand. Add chopped nuts to this recipe if you want, either inside the mix or sprinkled on top or both.
