Butterfinger Chex Mix Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

8 cups Chocolate Chex cereal (like this)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup cocktail peanuts
5 Butterfinger candy bars (1.9 oz each), coarsely chopped

DIRECTIONS:

1: Place cereal in a large bowl and set aside.

2: In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.

3: Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool.

4: Stir in peanuts and chopped candy. Store in airtight container.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on eBay and at Walmart!

Darlene’s Tips:  You could use any variety of chex cereal (or store brand) that you want. You could also mix with other types of cereal like cocoa puffs, reese’s puffs or whatever you like. You can also add salty crunchy treats like pretzels.
