There is a new coupon out that you might want to print. The expiration date on mine printed out at 9/30/12 so we have plenty of time to find a sale to go with this coupon!
I checked Hannaford’s site to see if I could get a price, but I don’t find Bar-S sausage there, just the franks. I know Walmart carries Bar-S franks and also bologna so maybe they have the sausage. And I’ll check Shaw’s too because that’s our best bet for a good sale.

I just got back from a little walk around Shaw’s in Sanford and this is my report!
CORN ON THE COB ONLY 10¢ EACH: They just filled the bin with more corn at 10 for $1 and they said they have plenty more. If you have room in your freezer it’s time to stock up! You can do a quick search on the web on “how to blanch and free corn” and you will get all the help you need to learn how to freeze corn. You can also freeze it off the cob to save room in your freezer. UPDATE: one of my readers posted instructions on how to freeze corn in the comments below. Scroll down past the coupons to see it!
FREE CARROTS: There is a new Earthbound Farm coupon that will print out for ANY Earthbound product and Sanford currently has the 1 pound bags of carrots that you can pick up for FREE with the coupon. Note: the coupon stated DND but they have been letting it double but it only doubles up to $1.29 so no overage. But FREE is good, right? To find the 1 pound bags in Sanford go in the produce side of the store then walk straight until you hit the oranges. Take a right then look to right. The 1 lb bags of carrots are on the right side of that display.
CHEAP LACTAID: They have Lactaid in reduced dairy marked down to $1.72. I think you can grab a $1 off Lactaid coupon HERE (not sure and don’t have time to print to check) which would bring the price down to $.72 for a half gallon. They also had Wild Harvest milk, I think, and some Garelick? Look for Garelic coupons in the coupon database. Don’t like lactaid or the other milks? Use them in smoothies for the kids. They will never know. You can also freeze in its own container as is (I’ve never had one burst open) or you can pour into smaller containers so you don’t have to use it up quick. You can also make ice cubes for smoothies or plop a couple of “milk” ice cubes in your milk for ice cold milk!
MAYBE LOTS OF REDUCED PRODUCE: The cart by the produce door was gone so I asked and they said they were filling it up with lots of new reduced stuff! I have no clue what you might find but be sure you check it out! Peppers have been cheap as well as potatoes. My stock up price for potatoes is $.30 per pound. I have never paid more than that since I discovered reduced produce and I always have plenty of potatoes in my bin (I refrigerate all my potatoes). In fact, I just picked up a 5 lb bag last week for $1.50, only $.30 per pound.
CHEAP KASHI CEREAL: On the back wall of the store in reduced grocery (to the right of the big door next to reduced dairy) there are lots of boxes of Kashi cereal, flakes, honey puffs and shredded wheat) on clearance for $2. If you have 60 points in your recyclebank account you can print a coupon for $2/2 which brings the price down to only $1 per box for Kashi! If you are not a recyclebank member yet, you really need to join! You can cash in points for awesome coupons or gift cards! Join RecycleBank… it free and it’s fun!

There is another new coupon for Earthbound Farm!! I have not printed this one yet but my guess is it will print out for ANY Earthbound Farm product like the previous coupons. If so, you do not have to buy mangos.
Sanford Shaw’s carries Earthbound Farm carrots in the 1lb size at $1.29 so FREE with the coupon if your cashier allows the coupon to double (says DND but starts with 5). This particular coupon will only double up to $1.29 with no overage.
You can also pick up Earthbound Farm carrots at Walmart. They are priced at $1.14 in Sanford, so only $.39 for a pound bag!

I just finished the last bit of my awesome Wholly Guacamole that I got for free in reduced produce at Shaw’s, so I went on the hunt for another coupon. I was hoping for $1.50/1, but right now Wholly has $1/1. That’s good enough for me because last time I got Wholly was in April and it was in reduced for $1.00!

Shaw’s in Sanford has corn 10 ears for $1.00… that’s only 10¢ per ear! Their advertised special for the week was 6 for $2.99, but they said the warehouse is full so they are having an in store special to move it. The price signs say through 6/14.
I asked if this is all Shaw’s stores and was told not necessarily, but it’s certainly not just Sanford. Call your Shaw’s and ask! Then go stock up on corn!

I was chatting with the Sanford Shaw’s new store director, Ed, and I asked him how I go about ordering razors for the free Gillette razor deal. He introduced me to Chris, the grocery manager and Chris said I didn’t need to pre-order because he had ordered tons of razors and they should be in on Friday.
I asked if I needed a rain check to get the sale price and he said they will be on sale again for at least another week. I’ve heard reports that it’s through the end of the month, but he at least confirmed another week on both the men’s Gillette razors and the women’s Daisy razors.
This entire conversation happened on the day I discovered my shirt was inside out… ugh!
I’m posting the deals again so you can order coupons if you want. Virginia over at My Coupon Hunter sent out an email saying she will process orders until 10pm tonight (she’s in central time) to go out on Monday.
Then I would call your Shaw’s and pre-order the razors if I were you. I’m still not convinced Sanford will get enough razors to go around. And what’s the use in pre-ordering if they are not going to hold the razors for me/us? I was told to just start checking to see if they come in on Friday. I have to talk to Chris again about that. I want them to put 10 aside for me. Isn’t that the way pre-ordering is supposed to work? I’ve never preordered before. Maybe he was distracted by my shirt and got confused.

I checked the price of the BOGO Lays at Shaw’s yesterday but I didn’t write it down. I’m quite sure it was $3.59 at the Sanford store. Not a bad deal if you also have a coupon!
UPDATE: We had conflicting reports so I called my Shaw’s in Sanford and they said $4.29 but you might find as high as $4.99 at other stores! I’m very curious as to why I thought I saw $3.59… I’m almost ready to quit this gig… LOL
