Geez… I spotted this picture on my camera from a shopping trip I did at Shaw’s way back on last Monday. I completely forgot to post it. Since I went through the work to set up the awesome photo shoot, I guess I’ll go ahead and show off… LOL!

I ran into Walmart today to see if I could score some cheap chocolate. Did I ever!
I had tear pad coupons that I’ve had in my coupon box forever and they were expiring on the 31st of this month. They were for $2/2 bags of Hershey’s and I had 10 coupons. The Christmas candy is 50% off and I was able to score 20 bags of chocolate for only $.39 per bag!!!
I dumped all the bags into a 20 quart tub (I almost filled it!) and gave it to my mother telling her is was her belated “box” of Christmas of chocolates. Her eyes almost fell out of her head!
You won’t be able to get the exact deal I got because chances are you don’t have the tear pad coupons. But, there are some printable coupons you can use that will still get you cheap chocolate!
Here are the deals at Walmart:
NOTE: In Sanford, the clearance Christmas candy is on the customer service side of the store.
ANOTHER NOTE: I tried to match these up as best as possible so the weights and varieties match the coupons but please double check. Your Walmart may also have other varieties that match the coupons.
Buy (2) bags Christmas Hershey’s Kisses, Miniatures or Reese’s at 50% OFF $2.78, so $1.39 per bag
Use (1) $1.10/2 Hershey’s Kisses, Miniatures or Reese’s printable coupon
Final price is $1.68 for 2 bags so only $.84 each!
Buy (2) bags Mars M&M’s, Twix, Milky Ways at 50% OFF $2.78, so $1.39 per bag
Use (1) $1/2 Mars Holiday bags printable coupon
Final price is $1.78 for 2 bags so only $.89 each!
Buy (2) bags Nestle Jingles at 50% OFF $2.78, so $1.39 per bag
Use (1) $1/2 Nestle Jingles printable coupon
Final price is $1.78 for 2 bags so only $.89 each!

I just got back from a mini shopping trip and I ran into Save-A-Lot because an anonymous person sent me a message the other day that the Jose Ole Taquitos were priced at only $3.29. I kind of thought the deal was too good to be true, but I posted it anyway just so you could print the coupons.
THE DEAL IS REAL! And it looks like the coupon is still available if you have not printed it yet!
I got the 4 boxes you see above for a total of $5.16! OMG, I just ate one… yummy! A bit spicy, just the way I like my men food! Ole!
Here’s the deal at Save-A-Lot… confirmed in Sanford!
I bet you’ll find the same deal at your Save-A-Lot too!
Buy (1) Jose Ole Taquitos, 20 ct (20 oz) at $3.29
Use (1) $2/1 Jose Ole Taquitos printable coupon (2 prints per computer)
Final price is only $1.29! OMG… WHAT A DEAL!!!
Sanford said they have another case, so if the freezer is empty, ask them to check out back for you! I told them to expect a mini rush and they said head on over as they’d love to have you!
TIP: Save room in your freezer by taking them out of the box and bagging them!
What a perfect snack to serve on New Year’s Eve!!!
Thank you anonymous tipster!

Last night, even though I’m sick, I had to go to the Bank of America ATM that is smack dab next to Shaw’s. So, I had to run in to Shaw’s, right? And I got caught by my couponing friend, Stacey, after I said I would not shop. I can’t even sneak out to the store! LOL
Here’s what I picked up and here’s how I got it so cheap!
I bought:
(6) boxes Back to Nature pasta on sale for $1.50 each
(2) boxes Mueller’s pasta on sale for $.88 each
(4) Fruities On the Go on sale for $.89 each
(6) Oranges in reduced produce for $1.18
I used:
(6) $.75/1 Back to Nature coupons (NLA)
I did 2 transaction on Back to Nature so all coupons doubled to $1.50 off
(2) $.55/1 Mueller’s coupons (not sure if Q is available)
Mueller’s coupons doubled to $1.10 off
(4) $1/1 Fruities On the Go coupons (not sure if Q is available)
Total before coupons was $15.50
After coupons doubled with overages, the total was $.30.
For some odd reason, it subtracted $.18 for tax (at Shaw’s, it does crazy stuff like that sometimes)
I PAID $.12 FOR EVERYTHING!

I just got back from Dollar Tree in Sanford and I had a nice chat with the manager, Adam. He showed me their updated policy with clear wording that states we can use coupons that are over $1.00 as long as it’s for 2 or more items. So, you can safely do this deal in Sanford.
Here’s the deal at Dollar Tree (confirmed in Sanford):
Buy (2) boxes Hefty Slider Bags, 13 ct or larger, at $1.00 each
Use (1) $1.50/2 Hefty Slider Bags printable coupon (change the Location to zip 77477 then go to page 4, I’m not sure if the coupon is still available)
Final price is $.50 for 2 boxes so only $.25 each!
I had 2 coupons so I got 4 boxes for $1.00 total plus tax!
If you have any problem at all in Sanford Dollar Tree, ask for manager Adam or ask for Heather. The cashiers are all supposed to have the updated policy at the registers. Adam told me this update is on the Dollar Tree website, but I still don’t see it. Sanford Dollar Tree was very nice and said they are trying to work out all the kinks and they hope we will be patient with them. They also said they were adjusting coupons down to $1.00 in the beginning but can no longer do that, like if you have $1.25 off Efferdent, they can’t accept the coupon and adjust it to $1.00. That’s kind of sad, but I’m cool with it.

Remember that Beech-Nut coupon I posted a few days ago? Well, I took my 4 coupons to Shaw’s today when I ran in to pick up the new Shaw’s flyer and I was happy to see that the Fruities on the Go are on sale! That means you can make a dime on each one you buy!
Here’s the deal at Shaw’s through 12/6:
There is also a Beech-Nut SavingStar deal so be sure you activate it! (thanks for the reminder Andrea!)
Buy (1) Beech-Nut Fruities On the Go on sale for $.89
some pouches are stage 4 and others are stage 5
Use (1) $1/1 Beech-Nut Stage 4 or 5 printable coupon – 2 prints per computer
Final price is FREE plus $.10 Money Maker!
NOTE: 2 of my coupons adjusted down to $.99 (the regular price) but 2 took off the full dollar. Go figure! I made $.42 total and I put that toward fresh green beans I found in reduced produce for $.75. I paid only $.33 total for what you see in the photo above!
Look how gathering freebies and cheapies adds up! Since Skylar’s last visit in July, I have managed to get all the fruit pouches you see below, 36 in all, practically for free! I paid $.09 for the Gerber pouches, but I made $.10 of quite a few of the Beech-Nut pouches, so it all evens out! And just so you know, I only ever bought 4 at a time. I just make sure I never miss a new coupon when it comes out!

When I went to Shaw’s today to pick up the new flyer to post the preview for you, I went around and shopped my favorite sections of the store… the reduced sections!
My best score today was green peppers marked down to $.50 per pound! I picked up almost 8.75 lbs of green peppers for only $4.32! That’s 34 green peppers in all!
These will get washed, sliced, blanched, then frozen. Then I’ll have green peppers for spaghetti sauce, stir fry, pepper steaks, pizza, stews, and even for Italian sandwiches! My guess is that this is at least a 4 month supply. I love it!

I had a good run today! I was so worried that I would not find the items that I had carefully planned out, but Shaw’s had everything I wanted!
Walgreens was a different story. They had promised me 6 boxes of Velveeta Shells & Cheese and they were supposed to put them aside and call me. Well, they didn’t call and they had just one box left. They actually ran to Hannaford to get my 6 boxes! Talk about service!
At Walgreens:
(6) boxes Velveeta Shells & Cheese on sale 2 for $4
(1) $1/2 coupon from Sept Wags coupon book
the coupon in the book only needs to be scanned once and it takes the discount off all the boxes
(6) $1/1 Velveeta Shells & Cheese printable coupons (NLA)
I paid $3 and I got a $5 catalina from Kraft!
(4) packs Bic Cristal Bold pens at $1.99 each (they finally got them)
(1) rain check making the pens $.49 each
(2) $1/2 Bic Cristal Bold printable coupons (NLA)
Final price was FREE! I paid $.10 tax.
At Shaw’s (5 separate transactions):
(4) Fiber One Chewy bars on sale for $2.50 each
(4) $.80/1 Fiber One printable (might still be available?)
coupons doubled to $1.60 off
$2 Shaw’s instant savings
Paid $1.60 and I got $2 catalina from Fiber One!
(4) Fiber One Chewy bars on sale for $2.50 each
(4) $.60/1 Fiber One printable (might still be available?)
coupons doubled to $1.20 off
$2 Shaw’s instant savings
$2 catalina from previous transaction
Paid $1.20 and I got $2 catalina from Fiber One!
For this next transaction the Homestyle variety of mayo did NOT trigger the instant savings but it DID trigger the Kraft catalina. I offered to swap but they just gave me the $5 instant savings :O)
(6) Kraft Mayo on sale for $2.99 each
(4) Kraft American cheese slices on sale for $1.79 each
(6) $1/1 Kraft mayo printable coupons (NLA)
(4) $1/1 Kraft cheese printable coupons (NLA)
$5 Shaw’s instant savings
$2 catalina from previous purchase
Paid $8.10 and I got $10 catalina from Kraft!
(10) Crystal Light on sale for $1.99 each
$5 Shaw’s instant savings
$10 catalina from previous purchase
Paid $4.90 and I got $10 catalina from Kraft and $3 catalina from Crystal Light!
(10) bags Gevalia coffee on sale for $6.49 each
(5) BOGO Gevalia printable coupons (NLA)
the bogo coupons deducted $6.98 each
(2) $2 catalina that I found near the self scans
always check around self scan because people leave those cats in the machines and sometimes they end up on the floor!
$10 catalina from previous purchase
$3 catalina from previous purchase
I paid $13 and I got a $10 catalina from Kraft!
My total before savings and coupons was $212.21
I paid $31.90 out of pocket and I still have a $10 catalina for Shaw’s and a $5 catalina for Walgreens!
This is way over my budget, but a very good deal considering all the coffee I got! And the mayo! And the Crystal Light! And all the other stuff! Yes, a very good deal! :O)
Oh, and I got a big seafood platter at Weathervane with an upgrade to sea scallops (they put bay scallops in their platter). The total was 28.16 but I used my $10 birthday coupon and $10 gift certificate that Weathervane gave me last time for screwing up my order. I paid $8.16!
And now I’m baking my birthday cake :O)
