Pepperoni and Swiss Cheese Bread
4 cups all-purpose bread
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1  1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, chilled and cut into pieces
4 cups grated Swess cheese
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 cup chopped pepperoni

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients.  Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse meal.  Stir in cheese and pepperoni.  In a medium bowl, whisk together milk and eggs.  Add milk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until moistened.  Pour batter evenly into greased bread pan.  Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool 10 minutes in pan; turn onto a wire rack to cool completely.  Store in an airtight container. 
To reheat, bake uncovered for 3 to 5 minutes until heated through in a 300 degree preheated oven.
Will also make 7 (3×5  1/2 inch) loaves for gift giving.
