Cheesy Monkey Bread – Easy 3-Ingredient Canned Biscuit Hack

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cans (10.2 oz each) Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers refrigerated Original biscuits
2 1/2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend
1/3 cup butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with shortening, or spray with cooking spray.

2:  Separate each can of dough into 5 biscuits and cut each biscuit into fourths (use scissors or a pizza cutter). Coat half of the biscuit pieces with melted butter and arrange in pan.

3:  Sprinkle 2 cups of the cheese over dough. Coat remaining dough pieces in butter mixture and place over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

4:  Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes.

5:  Run knife around outside edge to loosen. Place heatproof plate upside down over pan and turn plate and pan over. Remove pan. Turn the bread over onto a serving plate. Pull apart to serve.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can add herbs or spices to the melted butter like chives (fresh or dried), garlic or onion (fresh or dried), red pepper, dill weed, oregano, whatever!  You can also experiment using different types of shredded cheese.
