Chocolate Toffee Cereal Bark – Just 5 Ingredients

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups cereal of your choice
1 cup butter (not margarine)
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped nuts of your choice

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Line 15x10x1-inch baking sheet with heavy-duty foil. Spray foil with cooking spray. Spread cereal evenly in foil-lined pan.

2:  In 2-quart saucepan, cook and stir butter and brown sugar over medium heat until butter is melted. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium and boil 5 minutes longer, stirring frequently. Immediately pour brown sugar mixture evenly over cereal in pan.

3:  Bake 14 to 15 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of cereal mixture. Let stand 5 minutes. Spread chocolate evenly over cereal mixture.

4:  Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

5:  Refrigerate about 20 minutes to set chocolate then break into pieces. Store covered in refrigerator.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can pretty much use any cereal, even flakes.  Cocoa Puffs might be delish!  Reese’s Peanut Butter cereal too!  You can also use different flavor baking morsels.
