Chocolaty PB & J Cookie Bars Recipe – Only 4 Ingredients

1 roll Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookies
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Break up 3/4 of the cookie dough and press dough evenly in bottom of an ungreased 11 x 7-inch pan to form crust. (you can flour your hands so the dough won’t stick)

2:  Spread layer of peanut butter over crust. Spread layer of strawberry jam over peanut butter. Sprinkle chocolate chips over jam.

3:  Break remaining cookie dough into small pieces and evenly scatter over top.

4:  Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until light golden brown (cookie will be soft). Cool slightly, about 10 minutes. Carefully remove from pan and place on cooling rack. Serve warm or cool completely. Cut as desired.

Darlene’s Tips: You can refrigerate the warm cookies if you want them to cool faster. Chilled cookies will be easier to cut into even squares. You can line the pan with foil and leave some extending over the sides so you can lift the entire cookie out of the pan to cut. You can skip the chocolate morsels if you want just pb & j or you could use peanut butter morsels.
