Christmas Cookie Bars Recipe – Easiest Ever Sugar Cookie Dough Hack

INGREDIENTS:
1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookie dough
Christmas sprinkles
Frosting of your choice

DIRECTIONS:

1: Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir or knead in 2 tablespoons sprinkles until well blended. Press evenly in 13×9-inch pan.

2: Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until set and edges are golden brown. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hour.

3: Spread frosting evenly over cooled bars. Sprinkle with additional candy sprinkles. Cut into bars or squares.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can add any flavor extract to the dough, just 1/2 teaspoon will do.  Almond extract is an awesome flavor but any flavor is fine. Try cutting these into bite size pieces and frosting them with different holiday colors.
