Christmas Ornament Cookies – Easy Food Craft Using Store-Bought Cookies

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:
Round store-bought cookies (or bake your own)
Pouches of cookie icing, colors of your choice
Assorted small candies, sprinkles, decorative sugar, etc.
Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups (see my tips below)
(see tips below)

DIRECTIONS:

1: Pipe cookie icing onto cookie tops. Use a toothpick to creat swirls if desired.

2: Immediately add your candy decorations.

3: Add half of a mini peanut butter cup on top as seen in the image.

4: Let stand until set, about 1 hour (or refrigerate to set quicker)

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on eBay and at Walmart!

Darlene’s Tips:  You can make your own cookie icing by mixing powdered sugar with water (just a few drops at a time) and food coloring until you get the desired consistency. You can use gum drops (cut in half) instead of the peanut butter cups for the tops of the ornaments. Let the kids have fun with this!
