Blender-made, self-layering gelatin–a clear layer forms at the bottom.
Ingredients:
1 package (3 oz.) Jell-O Gelatin (any fruit flavor)
3/4 cup boiling water
1 and 1/2 cup crushed ice
1 banana, sliced
Combine Jell-O Gelatin and boiling water in blender container. Cover; blend at low speed 30 seconds, or until gelatin dissolves. Add ice; blend at high speed until ice melts–about 30 seconds. Pour into a 1-quart mold; stir in banana. Chill at least 1 hour.
(A clear bottom layer forms during chilling.)
Makes 4 cups, or 6 to 8 servings.
Amaze your friends with this Magic Layer Mold! If you do not have a mold to make it in, just use a pretty glass bowl.
