We have a new coupon policy over at Dollar Tree! I ran in to get a copy before I let anyone know. My heart was racing because I was told that we were now only going to be allowed to use 4 coupons there per day total, no matter what the coupon is. That’s not quite the case, thank goodness! Here are the new changes…
GOOD CHANGE: They finally have it in writing that they will accept coupons for over a dollar on multiple items. That means you can use a coupon for $3/3 and get all 3 items for free!
They already state in their policy that they will accept coupons for over a dollar on a single item and will adjust the coupon down to the price. This makes me think that if we were to have a coupon for $3/2, they may adjust that down to $2/2, though the new policy does not spell that out.
MINOR CHANGE: They are now limiting us to 4 “like” coupons per day. That means if you happened to have insert or glossy coupons for Olay soap, Efferdent, Maybelline, etc, you can only pick up 4 EACH per day. You are not limited to a total of 4 coupons, just 4 “like” coupons, so that’s fine and dandy by me! I think that’s very reasonable.
Printed internet coupons have always had a limit of 2 total per day, and that has not changed. That is in addition to the insert or glossy coupons that you use.
As it stands, you can walk in Dollar Tree and use as many groups of 4 “like” insert coupons as you want, and can also use 2 printed internet coupons. I’ve got to give Dollar Tree credit. I think they have done a really good job with this transition into accepting coupons. The folks at Sanford Dollar Tree have been especially helpful and are always willing to answer my questions. And they thank me for posting deals for them so that means they want you to use coupons there! Yes, they do! 🙂
