Yesterday – Tuesday 2/28 – Day 104

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 3:15pm, I ate off the plate you see above.  I cooked a nice, big, juicy hamburger patty with some cut up bacon ends.  Then I cooked some sliced beef in the same pan using the grease that the ground beef and bacon left behind.  This was some eff’in awesome!!!  But I did not eat it all.  I ate maybe half and saved the rest for later.

At 9:00pm, I cooked some more ground beef then added some of the leftovers above and also added some chicken breast leftovers.  And I had mustard on my plate this time.  I had a full plate and devoured it.

At 12:45am, I ate the rest of my deli roast beef.

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  sliced beef, ground beef, bacon, chicken, deli roast beef, mustard and lots of delicious water.

Yesterday – Monday 2/27 – Day 103

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 2:00pm, I ate off the plate you see above.  I had chicken, ground beef, breakfast sausage and sliced beef.  I ate not even half of what was on my plate. I did not sleep well the night before (didn’t even go to bed until morning) so I just was not up to par.  Just was not feeling it.

At 9:00pm, I cooked some more ground beef then added the leftover ground beef and beef slices from above along with one of the leftover breakfast sausages.  I ate it all.

At 2:00am, I cooked more ground beef and also warmed up the rest of the chicken breast from above and had the last of the leftover breakfast sausage.  I still did not manage to eat the entire chicken breast but got my fill on ground beef.

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  chicken, ground beef, breakfast sausage, sliced beef and lots of delicious water.

Yesterday – Sunday 2/26 – Day 102

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 2:00pm, I cooked a wonderful big hamburger patty with bacon ends and broiled some chicken.  I had this with breakfast sausage on the side.  I ate two of the sausages and gave the other two to my mother. Then I ate about half of the patty and the chicken. Saved the rest for later.

At 8:00pm, I grabbed my deli roast beef and the leftover cold chicken.  I ended up not really being hungry so I didn’t eat too much.

At 2:15am, I got hungry for real and cooked up another big hamburger patty and 3 eggs.  I ate all the eggs and quite a bit of the ground beef.  Eating late like this is common for me since I am up very late.  I didn’t even go to bed until after 5:00am.

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  ground beef, chicken, breakfast sausage, bacon, deli roast beef, eggs and lots of delicious water.

Yesterday – Saturday 2/25 – Day 101

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 1:30pm, I cooked up almost the same meal as the day before. But that’s what happens when you eat only meat… lots of repeat meals, which I love!  I had a pork chop, a nice and juicy hamburger patty, some chicken breast, sliced beef, and a little bit of the bacon ends and smoked sausage from the day before that I just warmed up in the pan. Super tasty!  I ate about half of what you see in the plate.

At 7:30pm, I cooked a nice piece of haddock cooked in butter (with salt but I skipped the pepper, turns my stomach sour) and had that along with my leftovers from lunch and I also added 2 breakfast sausage links to the mix.  Super yum!

At 1:15am, I got hungry so I ate deli roast beef until I was satisfied.  I would have cooked some ground beef, but I’m all out of ground beef!  And that is really one of my staples, so I must get some pronto!

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  ground beef, sliced beef, chicken, pork chop, haddock, breakfast sausage, smoked sausage, bacon ends, deli roast beef, butter, salt and lots of delicious water.

100 Days and Still Going Strong!

Yesterday – Friday 2/24 – Day 100

NOTE: Whenever I hit a milestone, I know you expect me to report on how much weight I lost.  This is NOT for weight loss.  I’m perfectly content at the size I’m at.  I do not weigh myself. I don’t measure myself.  My clothing is not falling off nor is it too tight, so my best guess is that I’m probably still around 320 pounds like when I started.  As for my health, that has improved leaps and bounds!  I have never felt so good.  And in 100 days, I’ve only had one that felt like depression, but it didn’t last so I’m not calling it depression since depression never cycled that fast for me.  I think it was last bits of withdrawal symptoms from quitting Prozac.  I have now been about 5 weeks of no Prozac, no coffee, no benedryl and very little nasal spray.  I feel like I’m turning back the clock.  I feel younger than ever and quite happy and content mentally for the first time in my life!

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

NOTE:  Yesterday was filled with unexpected events.  I was away from food and could not eat when planned.  I had no desire to eat burger patties from a fast food joint, so I chose to just wait it out and eat when I got home. That is why I ate my first meal so late in the day.  Skipping meals when hungry is a big no no on ZC.  But for me, eating at home and filling up on the meat that I cook is the only way to go.  I have never liked to eat out and I’m not about to start now, especially when I have to order things a special way, like burger patties a la carte.  Just don’t want to deal with it.  I could have traveled with my own burger patties, but had no clue we’d be out for so long.  Since stuff like this does not happen often, I know for myself that skipping a meal is way safer for my ZC lifestyle than ordering stuff I’m not happy with.  I mean really, what restaurant could ever give me a plate like you see above? lol

At 6:30pm, I cooked what you see on my plate.  It was ground beef, breakfast sausage links, smoked sausage with bacon ends, chicken breast and a pork chop. I was so incredibly tired and at that point, I had lost my appetite.  But I cooked and ate just the same.  But I could not eat much, maybe half, maybe less.  Eating on a stressed out tummy does not work well for me.  I had an alka seltzer after and started to recover.

At 10:00pm, I ate about a 1/4 pound of deli roast beef.  My belly was still very stressed out. That was it for the day.

Yesterday – Thursday 2/23 – Day 99

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 1:30pm, I cooked cooked a most delish pork chop along with a big hamburger patty and some sliced beef.  I ate about 1/2 of what was on my plate.

At 5:30pm, I polished off the remainder of what was in my plate along with more ground beef and bacon ends.

At 9:30pm, I got hungry yet again, so I cooked and ate another huge hamburger patty with bacon ends.

At 1:15am, I was hungry again! This time I opted for a pan full of sliced beef cooked rare and I devoured every bit. Oh, and with mustard.

NOTE:  I had quite the appetite yesterday.  The day before, I was feeling down (like way down, but I stayed ZC) and I honestly think that my body needed to recover from that.  No matter what, I listen to my body.  If it wants food, I will feed it!  I probably ate 4 pounds of meat yesterday.  And that’s fine and dandy!

Yesterday – Wednesday 2/22 – Day 98

NOTE:  I had a tiny bit of a scare yesterday and thought depression was creeping back into my life. But I now think it was just prozac withdrawals.  Read here.

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 2:15pm, I cooked two hamburger patties and some sliced beef.  Then shortly after I started eating, I felt odd and just stopped.  I had to take my mother out for blood work and decided to just go ahead and to that and finish eating later.

At 4:30pm, I reheated the meal from above and added some chicken breast.  I think I ate it all (yesterday was a complete fog for me). Then I just stayed on the couch and slept on and off for the fest of the night.

At 12:15, I got hungry, but not hungry.  I was just a mess.  All I knew is that I was sticking to meat, so I heated up some of the meat I cooked the day before.  It was hard getting it down because I was so down and out.  But I managed to eat a decent amount. Then I went back to bed.  I woke up feeling world’s better today.  Had I strayed from the meat, I know my world would have collapsed.

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  sliced beef, ground beef, pork tenderloin, bacon, kielbasa sausage, chicken and lots of delicious water.

Yesterday – Tuesday 2/21 – Day 97

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 3:30pm, I felt like eating only cut up food (new thing lately).  I cut up and cooked beef, pork, kielbasa sausage, bacon ends and added ground beef.  I ate more than half of what you see on the plate.

At 7:30pm, I made myself a big ass hamburger patty (close to one pound) along with a side of 6 eggs.  I ate almost every bit of that.  But I put pepper on it and got a very sour tummy after.  Please read the note below.

NOTE: I’ve been testing pepper off and on.  I really LOVE pepper on haddock and on eggs, but I notice that every time I use it, I get a sour stomach after.  And it triggers acid reflux.  That, in turn, makes me nauseous.  It amazes me that something like a sprinkle of pepper can cause so much discomfort.  When I think of all the things I’ve eaten my whole life that were destroying me, it blows my mind!

Yesterday – Monday 2/20 – Day 96

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 2:00pm, I had what you see on the plate above.  I broiled some chicken breasts which is my absolute favorite way to eat chicken.  I cooked some pork tenderloin and some sliced up beef.  Then I also had a mix of ground beef with cut up bacon ends.  I ate about half of what you see. Saved all the rest for later.

At 7:30pm, I cooked more ground beef along with some kielbasa sausage then I added all the leftovers from lunch except the chicken.  Ate a nice big plateful of that concoction!

At 2:00am, I got hungry again.  I was up very late making beads.  I cooked a very big hamburger patty and warmed up a whole chicken breast and chowed down!

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  chicken, sliced beef, ground beef, pork tenderloin, bacon, kielbasa sausage and lots of delicious water.

What I Ate Yesterday – Day 95 – What Did a Gulp of Milk Do To Me???

Yesterday – Sunday 2/19 – Day 95

When I got up, I had my usual chug jug of hot water.

At 1:30pm, I had what you see on the plate above.  That consisted of 1 lb of ground beef made into two thick and juicy patties.  Then I cooked some sliced beef along with that.  I also added cut up bacon ends and some salami to the mix.  I did not use butter this time since the ground beef is fatty enough and the other stuff does not stick.  I ate almost everything in the plate.  I had a bit of ground beef left and a slice or two of beef.  Freaking fantastic meal!

At 8:00pm, I cooked more sliced beef along with more ground beef (time to stock up!!!) and I cut up more bacon ends (lately I like to cut into small pieces) and also some kielbasa sausage.  Then I cracked 6 eggs into that mix.  I ate a plateful and was quite a happy camper!

At 1:00am, I ate the rest of the same mix that I made for dinner (I cook big and save for later).  I reheated it this time (I often eat leftover cold) and it was super yummy.  Then I crossed over to the danger zone!  MILK!!!  One gulp. That’s all it took.  Read the note below.

NOTE:  I love water, and I’m totally satisfied with drinking only water, but I sure do love the taste of milk too.  I have been dairy free for several weeks now, and getting off dairy was the best thing I could do for my body.  ZC made me feel awesome, but ZC with no dairy has rocked my world!  Anyhoo, last night, around 2am, I took a gulp of milk.  I did not chug it down.  Just took ONE gulp of it.  Then I drank water because I was thirsty and I went to bed.  About an hour later, I woke up with the worst cramps.  You might think it’s because I ate a fatty meal at 1:00am, but I often do that and it has never made me sick.  So that food is not what caused it.  It had to be the milk!  I was crampy and nauseous and miserable!  Not fun!  I suffered the rest of the night and through the morning.  It just goes to show that once we are down to the basics, it’s easy to determine what the culprits are.  Dairy is not my friend.

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  sliced beef, ground beef, bacon, salami, kielbasa, eggs, one nasty ass gulp of milk and lots of delicious water.
