Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!
INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 can (20 oz) apple pie filling
1/3 cup caramel sauce
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
optional: butterscotch morsels or sprinkles
(see my tips below)
See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!
DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350° F. Grease or lightly spray bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan.
2: In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs with electric mixer on low speed 2 minutes. Add apple pie filling and beat 1 minute longer.
3: Pour batter into pan and bake as directed on box for 13 x 9-inch pan. Cool in pan on cooling rack 20 minutes.
4: Poke warm cake every inch with a straw or handle of wooden spoon, halfway into cake. Pour caramel over cake, allowing it to fill in holes.
5: Spread cake with whipped topping. You can drizzle more caramel sauce on top and add morsels or sprinkes of your choice.
Darlene’s Tips: If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can beat by hand. Then maybe cut your apple pie filling (if it’s all large pieces) into smaller pieces and add to the batter and mix well. You don’t have to use a white cake mix. Use any cake mix and bake it as directed on the box using the ingredients stated on the box. A spice cake with apple pie filling and caramel might be delish!

Holy shit! My newest video, See What I Made With These Fabric Scraps, is really taking off. Very excited to see this!
The gray area is where my videos usually are. That dark blue line is where this new video is! It’s 24 hours old at the time of this post. The other stats are not in yet (always delayed a day or two) but the realtime stats for views and watch time show this video might be a good earner for February!
Here’s what Youtube said inside my account…
“Nice work, your video is really taking off! It got 147% more views than usual in its first 24 hours. You typically receive 3,600–5,000 views in this timeframe.”
So happy when I get lots of people jumping to watch. I’m quickly learning that videos that deal with fabric scraps are good, at least for me, at least for now.
The last video that came out of the gate hot like that was How I Turn Narrow Fabric Scraps Into New Fabric. That video is two months old now and has earned over $2,500 so far. Not too shabby! I see that it only got 7.7K views and 2.0K watch time in its first 24 hours. My newest video got more! Anxious for the revenue stats to come in.
Things constantly change, but I’m for sure encouraged to do more scraps videos. Lucky for me that’s what I love!!!
Thank you to everyone who watched my newest video. If you have not watched yet, what are you waiting for? Watch now!
Oh, and if you check out that video and you’re wondering why it shows less views than in my analytics, that’s because the public count is delayed. Only I get to see what’s really happening behind the scenes… and now you, because I just showed you!
UPDATE: The video has been up for 48 hours now. My percentage of views increased from 147% to 206%! I currently have just over 16K views. Here’s what youtube says…
“Nice work, your video is really taking off! It got 206% more views than usual in its first 48 hours. You typically receive 4,600–6,300 views in this timeframe.”
You can see that it’s still climbing. It’s at a slower rate, but climbing!!

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square pan with baking spray with flour.
2: With lightly floured fingers, break up cookie dough into pan and press evenly in bottom of pan to form crust. Bake 15 minutes. Remove pan from oven and cool 10 minutes.
3: Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat cake mix, melted butter and eggs with whisk until well combined.
4: Spread cake batter evenly over partially baked crust. Return to oven and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 45 minutes. Cut into bars or squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

Darlene’s Tips: You can add about 1/4 cup chopped nuts to this recipe. You can also try it with sugar cookie dough. For something extra decadent, frost with cream cheese frosting or any flavor frosting and add sprinkles on top!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups white vanilla baking chips
1 container Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting (or store brand)
2 tablespoons red cinnamon candies
3 tablespoons water to melt candies
optional: sprinkles of your choice
(see my tips below)
See All My Patreon Video Titles!
DIRECTIONS:
1: Completely line bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with foil.
2: In medium microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips on Medium-High for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and completely smooth. Stir in frosting until mixed well.
3: Heat candies and water to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered about 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until candies are melted. Gradually beat cinnamon mixture into fudge.
4: Spread fudge in pan. Add sprinkles if desired. Refrigerate at least 1 hour until set. Remove fudge from pan and cut into squares or heart shapes to serve. Store tightly covered in refrigerator up to 1 week.
Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on and at !
Darlene’s Tips: This fudge might be on the soft side so you can store in the freezer and serve as a fun frozen treat. If you want to skip the cinnamon step, just buy any pink frosting (creamy NOT whipped) or buy white frosting and tint with food coloring. Just mix the baking morsels and frosting as directed and pour into pan. Add sprinkles if desired.

INGREDIENTS:
1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist devil’s food cake mix
you do not need the additional ingredients listed on the box
1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 1/2 cups chopped caramels ()
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
(see my tips below)
See All My Patreon Video Titles!
DIRECTIONS:
1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 13-by-9-inch pan and set aside.
2: In a large bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding and milk for one minute to combine. Add cake mix ONLY and stir until thoroughly combined.
3: Spread batter evenly into bottom of prepared pan (batter will be thick). Sprinkle with chopped caramels.
4: Bake cake 30-40 minutes or until edges pull away from sides and a toothpick inserted in the cake portion comes out clean. Remove cake from oven and let cool on a cooling rack.
5: Pour chocolate chips into a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until chocolate is fully melted. Using a spoon, drizzle chocolate over cooled cake.
Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on and at !
Darlene’s Tips: You could try other candy instead of the caramel (or in addition to) like cut up pieces of your favorite chocolate bars. You can also add some chopped nuts. To serve warm, just heat in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until warm enough. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream. Experiment with different flavors of cake mix and pudding.
