Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!
INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
4 oz cream cheese (softened, see tips)
2 tablespoons caramel topping ()
1½ cups powdered sugar
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
1: Mix the cream cheese and caramel topping in a small bowl.
2: Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix it in.
3: Use frosting on cookies, cupcakes, cake, whatever! Store any leftover frosting in the refrigerator.
Darlene’s Tips: You can use chocolate or butterscotch topping if you like. If your frosting is too thick, add a bit more topping or add a drop or two of milk or water. It’s too thin, add more powdered sugar. You can also use and just add more powdered sugar until you get the frosting consistency that you like. To soften cream cheese, leave it on the counter for an hour or so or pop it in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds.

INGREDIENTS:

White Icing
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons hot water
Chocolate Icing
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon dark baking cocoa ()
2 to 4 tablespoons hot water
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
White Icing: Melt 1/3 cup butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar. Stir in hot water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until icing is smooth and has the consistency of thick syrup. Spread over cookies. Let stand about 3 hours to set. (see tips below)
Chocolate Icing: Melt 1/3 cup butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and dark cocoa. Stir in hot water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until icing is smooth and has the consistency of thick syrup. Spread over cookies. Let stand about 3 hours to set. (see tips below)
Darlene’s Tips: You can tint the white icing any color by adding a drop or two of food coloring. For the chocolate icing, you can use regular baking cocoa, it does not have to be . Or you could just tint with brown gel food coloring (but it won’t be chocolate flavored) or you could even try melting a piece of a chocolate bar along with the butter (I would totally try that!). You can use this icing to decorate store bought cookies for a homemade look. Also use on cake, cupcakes or brownies! If the icing is too thick, add a few more drops of water. If it’s too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar. Just keep playing with it until you get the consistency you like.

My newest flash sale has begun! I have 6 new listings for today and will also have more on Saturday and Sunday.
I split it up like that for 2 reasons:
1. It takes time for me to set up the listings. I split them up so I have time to do other stuff.
2. Not everyone is around on Friday and sometimes the stuff sells out quickly. Spreading the listings out over the weekend gives more exclusive shoppers a chance to snag a deal.

Store-bought cupcakes of your choice (or bake your own)
Frosting of your choice (if needed)
Assorted Christmas Peeps (see here)
Sprinkles (if desired)
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
1: Frost cupcakes with frosting. If you bought cupcakes that are already frosted, you might want to add more to stick the peeps in.
2: Decorate cupcakes with sprinkles, if desired.
3: Place a Peep on top of each cupcake.
Darlene’s Tips: You can do this on cake also or on brownies or even on cookies. If traveling with this dessert, simply add the peeps to the top when you get to your destination!
