Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!
INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookies
2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (2 medium)
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13×9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. Press sugar cookie dough in bottom of baking dish. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly set. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
2: In large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, scraping side of bowl between additions. Beat in mashed bananas.
3: Pour over cooled crust. Bake about 30 minutes or until outer edges of cheesecake are set. Cool completely, about 15 minutes, then refrigerate 30 minutes before cutting.
Darlene’s Tips: You can totally add some chopped walnuts to this recipe, or any nuts you want. You could also try peanut butter cookie dough. I bet that would taste delish with the banana flavor!

INGREDIENTS:

Store bought cookies (or bake your own)
1 tub white ready-to-spread frosting (or make your own)
Various colors of food coloring
Black cookie icing (see my tips below)
Gumdrops, cut into pieces (see my tips below)
Sugar sprinkles
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
1: Tint small amounts of frosting different colors and spread on top of cookies.
2: Top the cookies with sugar sprinkles.
3: Pipe black icing to make light strands.
4: Add pieces of gumdrops to make lights.
Darlene’s Tips: You can use any color frosting and pipe it on. No need to buy black food coloring. Or use red or black shoestring candy. You can use any kind of candy for the lights, m&m candies, round decors. You can also pipe on frosting for the lights.

In this series, I will show you stats for some of my videos so you can see how youtube works for content creators. Please remember, I am a very small youtuber compared to what is out there and my growth has been very slow. But I don’t give up! I just keep going and make changes along the way. Looking at my stats will be good for me. I need to see what is working and what is not working. Hopefully, it can help other content creators to know what they might be able to expect over the life of their channel. I will be sharing videos that performed well and videos that fell flat. I hope you enjoy this series!
Video we are exploring: Crumb Quilting Adventure – How to Start Piecing the Blocks | Ep. 1
Video was uploaded on: August 17, 2017
Date of this post: 12/24/19.
Video is over 2 years old at the time of this post. All stats are up to the date of this post.
Watch time: 24.9K hours
Total earnings: $498.15
Earnings for the past 90 days: $56.27 (currently earning about 63¢ per day).
What does this mean?
Bottom line, the earnings absolutely stink. I’ll be curious to see how the other videos in this series performed. Don’t get me wrong, almost $500 is nice, but I really expected it to be more especially since the video is over 2 years old and since it is the start of the series. I’m thinking it was the most watched in the series? Maybe not! We’ll know when I do the stats for the other episodes.
The most this video ever earned in one day was $11.61. That was on day 4. It earned $152.63 for the first 3 months then it pretty much flatlined to under $1 per day. I see a teeny tiny spike over the past 3 months, but not much. No major spikes at all for this video. That means that youtube never put it out there as a suggested video. When youtube promotes a video later, there is always a spike in earnings. I will show you examples of that on some of my other videos.
I’m very curious to see if any of the videos in the crumb quilt series did better than this! I’m sure I was thrilled back then to earn a whole $11.61 in one day on just one video. But I had 22.6K subbies at that time, so that’s still kind of pathetic. lol. Just the same, seems like that video should have earned more in over 2 years. Much more!
Let’s compare to one of my recent videos. How I Turn Narrow Fabric Scraps Into New Fabric was uploaded on Dec 10, 2019, just 2 weeks ago. At the time of this post, it has 111,406 views and has already earned $553.92. Holy shit! I’m positive no other video of mine has earned even close to that much in such a short amount of time. It’s breaking all kinds of records for me. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one and will do stats on it after it settles a bit.
I’ll be back with the stats on Episode 2 of the Crumb Quilt Adventure soon!

INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
2 lb (32 oz) frozen meatballs (beef or turkey)
1 jar (12 oz) chili sauce
1 1/2 cups grape jelly (see tips below)
(see my tips below)
DIRECTIONS:
1: Place meatballs into a slow cooker.
2: Combine jelly and chili sauce in a small bowl and pour over meatballs.
3: Cook on low for 3-5 hours or until meatballs are heated through.
Darlene’s Tips: Switch things up by swapping the grape jelly for a different flavor, such as apricot jelly, peach preserves or pineapple preserves. You can also add other ingredients like chopped onions and peppers. If you don’t have a slow cooker, simply heat this on your stove top in a sauce pan.

I have officially fallen victim to another addiction. Move over crumb quilting, I’ve got selvages calling out to me!
Before you even read this, run to your fabric trash and pull out all your selvages, even if they are only 2 inches long (that will cover a corner, baby!). Then come back and finish reading this. And forgive yourself for ever tossing a selvage out. You won’t do it again.
I have known about sewing selvages together for quilts or other projects, but I just didn’t think I’d like the looks of that. I was completely wrong! I frigging love selvage blocks! I have been playing with ideas for a couple of weeks now and I want to show you everything. But I can’t. At least not all in one video.
I’m going to start with some simple diagonal blocks and will share my tips on how to do them assmbly line style. This is so quick and easy and fun! You are going to love it!
And the blocks are simply beautiful!
I just wanted to get you excited for a video tonight. Not sure when it will be uploaded, but I really am aiming for tonight. Be sure you subscribe to my channel and click that notification bell. Then I think there is a drop down or something so you can choose how you want to be notified. I really don’t know, but other youtubers say that, so I’m saying it too. lol
Just subscribe to my channel already. And also join my Peanut Gallery group because I post all my videos in that group. Be sure those notifications are on too.
“See” you tonight! So excited!
Look at what happened today! I hit 90K subscribers! For sure I will hit 100K in 2020! Thank you to all my subscribers!
