I Opened a New eBay Store!!!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Way back in the day, when ebay first started their store feature, I had one and loved it.  Then when I quit my sewing business, I shut down my store.

Now it’s to the point that I really need a store again.  Why?  The main reason is because it allows me to “close the store” while I’m on vacation or during fabric frenzies. Up until now, each time I travel, I have to delete all my listings before I travel then put them all back up when I get back. Not only is that time-consuming, but it counts as a new listing each time I list.  And during the frenzies, it’s too easy to oversell if I’m selling in both places at the same time, so I usually take them down.  Stores are going to solve that problem for me!

Stores will also be more handy for you.  You can click on the categories you are most interested in to see what I have.  I’m just now setting the store up, so expect changes along the way. It will take a bit to get it the way I want it.  I don’t even know all the perks of a store yet. It’s soooooo different from when I had a store before.

I will still be offering Patrons and Youtube Members reduced prices during the fabric frenzies.  That’s the place to be in you like fabric and want to score great deals. But with a store, I’ll be more encouraged to list , ’cause those are just plain fun!

I will also have more tunics soon. I’ve decided it works better for me if I sew a batch of them then have one day when I take all the pics. Moving my mannequin around is a pain in the ass and I don’t always have good lighting (like pretty much never) so when it’s a good time to take pics, more tunics and other garments will be up.

And I’ll also be selling india tapestries too! Stay tuned for all that stuff… coming soon!

Classic Cowboy Cornbread Recipe – Easy Cornbread Mix Hack

INGREDIENTS:
1 pouch (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker cornbread & muffin mix
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 egg
(see my tips below)

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 400°F. Grease or spray bottom of 8-inch cast-iron skillet. Heat skillet in oven about 10 minutes or until hot. Optional: You can use an 8-inch square pan; do not preheat the pan (but do preheat the oven).

2: In medium bowl, mix all ingredients. Pour into skillet or pan.

3: Bake about 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Loosen sides with knife, and carefully remove from skillet to cooling rack to cool.

Darlene’s Tips:  Serve with chili or baked beans or as a side to any dish (no rules!). You could make this in muffin tins if you prefer and grab on the go for a quick and easy breakfast. Instead of cooked bacon, you could use deli ham or salami cut into small pieces or you could skip the meat.

Luscious Orange Creamsicle Cookie Crust Pie Recipe

Luscious Orange Creamsicle Cookie Crust Pie Recipe
a General Mills Recipe

Check out this huge selection of Betty Crocker Cookbooks!

INGREDIENTS:
Cookie Base

1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for drop cookies
1/3 cup butter, melted
Filling
2 boxes (3 oz each) Jell-O orange-flavored gelatin
1/3 cup boiling water
2 boxes (3.4 oz each) Jell-O vanilla-flavor instant pudding & pie filling mix
2 1/2 cups cold milk
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 container (12 oz) Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
Decoration (optional)
1/2 cup canned mandarin orange segments, drained (see my tips)

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos here!

DIRECTIONS:
1:  Heat oven to 375°F. Make and bake drop cookies as directed on pouch. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

2:  In food processor, process half of the cookies to coarse crumbs. Remove to medium bowl. Continue to process remaining cookies to coarse crumbs; add to bowl. Stir in melted butter until well blended. In ungreased 13×9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, press cookie crumb mixture firmly in bottom. Set aside.

3:  In small bowl, place gelatin, and add boiling water; beat with whisk until blended. Stir occasionally about 2 minutes or until mostly dissolved. In medium bowl, beat dry pudding mixes and milk with whisk about 2 minutes or until thick. Stir in dissolved gelatin. Let stand 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4:  In large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth, scraping down side of bowl frequently. Beat in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Spread over cookie crust.

5:  Pour pudding mixture over cream cheese layer; spread evenly over top. Drop remaining whipped topping by spoonfuls over pudding layer; carefully spread until even. Refrigerate 5 hours.

6: When ready to serve, sprinkle orange segments on top (optional). Cut into 6 rows by 3 rows. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pieces.

Darlene’s Tips:  You could pretty much do this with store-bought cookies. Just process them to crumbs, add the butter and press into the pan. Soft cookies might work better and might not even need the butter to make the crumbs stick. Add chopped nuts to the crust if you want. Instead of decorating with canned mandarin segments, you can use fresh. Or top with candy orange slices, which happens to be one of my mother’s favorite candies (you see me buy those often at walmart). You can experiment with different flavors of gelatin and pudding mixes.
